Excellent historic accommodation

This is a charming apartment in a very peaceful section of the medieval part of the city. It is on two floors, the lower level being up a circular staircase and spacious and very well equipped. Bedrooms, bathroom, and separate toilet on the floor above, with good views over part of the city. If you come by car, the nearest parking is underground at the Jacobin garage ; bear in mind that the medieval centre is on a ridge overlooking the river and the modern part of the city, so you have to contend with some uphill and cobblestoned streets. However there is a small free bus with a drop off point in Place St Pierre which is very close to the apartment. If coming by train, a cab from the station should cost around 8 euros

We'd arranged to check in at 3 and had planned to get a late lunch in Place St Pierre; however all the restaurants there close at 2 - it would have helped if we'd been informed of that. There's a good restaurant (Madeleine) above the Jacobin parking.

Difficult to get to the building with car because it’s in old town with very narrow streets. You have to be able to bring luggage to the building and be able to bring it up the stairs inside.

Beautiful apartment in the heart of Old Le Mans!

The host met me at the train station, drove me to the apartment, and got me all settled in. Wonderful friendly service! The apartment is a beautiful old building right in the center of Le Mans medieval old city. Close to dozens of good restaurants, the Cathedral Saint Julien, and quaint little shops.

The electrically heated shower does take some time to heat up and a bit of fiddling to get to the right temperature, and don't expect lots of water pressure! But works fine once you get the hang of it. Also if you plan to make. your own meals, keep in mind there are no grocery stores right in the area. You might want to pick up food on your way there. Finally, a little more direction on using the tram system would be helpful. It's pretty simple once you get the idea, but the city site is not very user friendly. Of course, not a problem if you have a car!

Located right in the city centre, ideal for viewing this old city. Highly recommend this apartment for any short break.

Only downside is the £10 per night parking in the multi storey car park, which is only a three minute walk to the property. This can't really be helped as it is a medieval city with narrow cobbled lanes, but just factor in.

The main bedroom is not a separate room but in the top landing area at the top of the stairs. The second bedroom does have a door for privacy.

We absolutely loved our visit!

We absolutely loved our stay in the historic section of LeMans. Since the property is well situated in the magical yet historic section of town, we waived breakfast and opted to enjoy a picturesque walk each morning to a local bakery. The apartment layout is efficient and comfortable. The kitchen is well provisioned and we recommend taking advantage of the local farmer's market to purchase delicious fresh ingredients to make lunch or dinner. There are also some wonderful restaurants in the area. Everything we needed or wanted to visit was in easy walking distance. It really was the highlight of our vacation and we only wished we had planned to stay longer. On the way out of town, we made a point to visit the 24-Hour LaMans Museum which is a must see for automobile racing fans.

Perfect location for exploring the Cite Plantagenate!

Absolutely perfect location in the heart of the Cite Plantagenate. Lots of restaurants nearby. Very lovely host (Olivier) who made us very welcome and explained everything to us. Light continental breakfast provided. a very interesting and lovely place to stay. Facilities were charming, clean and cozy. A fabulous experience all round.

No parking on site but to be expected in the heart of this historic area! Good car park just 10 minute walk away.

Amazingly authentic experience

Right in the centre of the historic town. This apartment has everything you want with amazing furnishings and spectacular views from every window. The owner was charming and helpful. If you get the chance to stay here then definitely take it- you won’t be disappointed!

Lovely apartment in the heart of the old town - fantastic location!

The location was great - could walk to many restaurants, around the old town, to the cathedral and there was good cheap parking v nearby. The owner was v helpful (meeting us on foot cause we couldn’t find our way in through the barred streets!) too.

The top stairs are fairly tight and some outdoor seating would have been lovely, but it was otherwise great.

Charming part of town; nice view; calm and quiet; furnished with taste.

There is a problem with the hot water, which uses an induction process. We never had really enough hot water for the dishes, and it was also sporadic when trying to take a shower.

E' stato un tuffo nel passato, in un mondo fiabesco stare in questa casa deliziosa e autentica nel centto storico di Le Mans, o passeggiare per le sue viuzze. Adrian e' stato un host perfetto, accogliente e sempre disponibile. Ci ha consigliato una brasserie fantastica per la sera e portato una colazione deliziosa al mattino. Cii ha anche suggerito di vedere les lumieres , spettacolo di luci stupendo per le vie del centro la sera del nostro arrivo, un' esperienza davvero da ricordare ..
