Shahpura House cancelled our reservation on CHRISTMAS DAY mere hours before check in claiming our credit card didn’t work. They refused to take another credit card and were incredibly rude over the phone. My wife had planned to stay at this hotel for months and was devastated she did not get the opportunity. They ruined our trip.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was nice, helpful and friendly. Our room was amazing and the hotel was very beautiful

The hotel is in good location, descent rooms, good room service.
The service or support is not up-to standard. Even after multiple complaints the bathroom was clogged.
The restaurant service was extremely slow and poor.

Thi was my second stay at this property as I am in love with the haveli and the price that it comes at, but this time I am highly disappointed with them.
I was not sure at the first time I visited this property but this second visit made it very clear.
1 The staff treat you differently the moment they realise you came via motorbike(though I came on Harley Davidson Fatboy which was the most expensive vehicle over there at that time). Typical stereotyping. The staff didn’t even offered us water, welcome drink was far too much to ask for though I have seen them offering welcome drink to everyone.
2 THE ROOM- the chair was broken, I mean it claims to be luxury property but provides broken chairs in the room.
3 The service- they made me wait for one and a half hour for normal ginger lemon tea inspite of reminding them twice.
No one bothered to help us with the luggage.
So all in all, the experience was below par this time around

Absolutely mins-blowing beautiful haveli with stunning architecture and decor inside. Room was a large size with all listed amenities available. Use of laundry service was excellent. I did the buffet dinner with Rajasthani dance in the garden which was great to get watch. The show lasted around 2 hours. The resident artist selling his paintings in the shop is worth sitting down and having a chat to, and a neat momento to buy for home. Mr Hemmant on the front desk was fantastic and very accommodating. It’s in a location that is very quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the old city, but close enough to get to and from easily.
Definitely recommend.
The service at breakfast was a little slow

Good heritage property with affordable rates
Tv was old, amenities like hair dryer and iron were also old

The hotel is absolutely magnificent looking, every inch of it is beautifully detailed. The staff are all lovely and very kind. The general manager, Vineet, was particularly helpful and friendly, and gave us a tour of the whole hotel. We loved it here.

The property in itself is very beautiful and clean.
Our stay was unfortunately disappointing due to the behaviour of some staff members. We felt that there was clear racism and that we were not welcomed or attended to with the same warmth and priority as other international guests. This differential treatment left us feeling singled out and uncomfortable.
At the restaurant Rasa, we were also made to wait for over 30 minutes for our food without any proper communication or updates, which added to our disappointment.

Very traditional and iconic interior design. Very clean and comfortable. I used the pool after buying a swimsuit (early XX century style) and it was very clean and relaxing. Good and healthy selection of food at breakfast and dinner. Very comfortable atmosphere, great service and comfortable beds and room.
Maybe the service is even too apprehensive

Rooms were good, overall property was well maintained and pictureworthy. It was quite close to the city centre as well. Staff was extremely courteous and helpfull.
There was a hint of dampness in the rooms we were allotted. Also there was a lot of noise in the night as our rooms were close to the worker area, and common corridor maybe thats why.

I think it is a space that maintains history while also speaking to the contemporary world.
There was a foul smell in the bathroom and the shower drain wasn’t working properly, making a puddle every time you take bath.

The staff were all extremely helpful and polite and Shahpura House has a lot of old world character. The roof top restaurant plus pool were bonuses.
It is situated on a quieter side street, very important in noisy Jaipur. Several smarter bigger hotels were on busy roads.
We were in the Royal Suite and extended our stay. The room price was very good for a suite. We will be recommending to family
I loved the hotel supplies a temporary free water hut outside in the hotter months for locals. This was a lovely feature across Jaipur.
Nothing really. Very happy

Mosquitoes had to be addressed as daughter was badly bitten overnight

It’s cleanliness and maintenance
Location and no parking space. Moreover by booking through Booking.com they give standard rooms without any view. Moreover too many calls for site seeing taxi requirements , we thought we are going to a taxi station

Excellent service, rooms were well maintained. Good facilities when not sightseeing. Felt like royalty staying here.

website photos are misleading, making the hotel look modern and upscale. In reality it’s an older hotel. Appears to have lots of history but has seen better days. Room was small and very dark. They must be using 25 watt light bulbs. Could hardly see oneself in the bathroom mirror.

Breakfast was good. Staff was welcoming and polite. Big spacious and clean rooms top notch. Overall property is well maintained to give you maharaja like feeling. Kids friendly:)
List to avoid:
Food is good but on expensive side. if you don't have breakfast covered avoid eating at restaurant
Dinner buffet again is way too expensive and you will only like live performance there.

Beautiful building, wonderful welcome tour. Staff was friendly.
Bath Towels were old and dingy . Wi-Fi was weak . Bed quilt was too heavy for the temperature. Rasa restaurant had very slow service. We saw a rat in the building between elevator and reception. All these things could be easily corrected.

property is beautiful.
some staff were lovely, others just didn’t care at all.
we weren’t able to use the pool as there wears weddings on in the pool area for the 4 days we were there.
allocated a room directly looking into wedding area with spotlights shining directly into the bedroom. music was unbearably loud. although the wedding looked fantastic it did unfortunately affect our stay and hotel staff didn’t seem to care.
