Clean and beautiful decor . Very comfortable bed. Very relaxing environment. Scenery was beautiful.

Olive and James as hosts were the best part of our stay here. We were here 10 days and they made us feel like family! You’re 30-40 minutes from just about anything you’d like to visit. Olive makes amazing breakfasts! (Don’t eat a big dinner). Definitely talk to them about the area; don’t just google things - they’ll give you the best ideas! Rooms were small but beds were super comfortable! We stayed in the room adjacent to the sitting room and dining room and it was pretty quiet. In the bathroom, pull the chain to start shower hot water (on demand shower). Water pressure is low, but it’s super hot! A nice sitting room is available during the day. Olive will make you tea of coffee and bread (she’s a great baker!). Needless to say, you will have amazing views of the countryside and seashore!

We came from a rural part of the US, but this is pretty rural! Teeny tiny roads with no shoulder are tough to get used to. The road up to their place (Cloughs Rd) is the toughest road to navigate. That’s not their fault though, so I guess that shouldn’t be part of the review. But it’s just a caution - drive super duper slow up this road, and when you encounter someone coming the other way, pull off into one of the pull-offs and let them go by. Driving up at night is easier since you can see the headlights. But every road has tall hedges that prevent you from seeing around corners. Just be careful, that’s all. We drove on the Torr Head Road up the coast which was equally scary and did it just fine! The pay-off (view) beats the risk. Just rent the absolute smallest car you can find.

From the moment we walked in Olive looked after us so well. From the yummy homemade cakes, the offering of lifts into town and the epic breakfast. She even sourced some toothpaste for us as we forgot! We felt so welcome.
