Confortable hotel in nice neighbourhood

The reception in the hotel next door was friendly. The room was a good size, with a kitchenette and shower room. The bed was large and comfortable, the shower room was fine, and the kitchenette was reasonably equipped. The apartment was generally clean and well-presented, and the wifi worked well.
The area was fine, a reasonable walk to the city centre, with shops, eateries and parks nearby. Not exactly busy, but not dead, either. Traffic wasn't bad at all.
The listing states that there is nearby parking available for £7.70 a day. However, parking was a problem. The on-street parking was metered, expensive and had a maximum stay of 3 hours during the day (free overnight from 6pm to 8am). So we had to get up early to move the car. The park and ride we were directed to does not allow overnight parking.
We did then manage to find 24 hour parking at the Old School House off Eldon Street, but this is a tiny car park that might not always be available.
If you are not coming by car, this would be be a nice apartment.
There was a dirty grill pan in the oven.
In an apartment, I would expect some kind of comfortable seating, but there were only a couple of light dining chairs.
