This is my second time at this property. It's got everything you need, home from home, and the location is excellent.
Kelvinbridge Subway is less than a 5 minute walk away (down a path next to the river) and there are plenty of places to eat and drink on The Great Western Road, as well as local shops, Tesco and Sainsbury's express, or there's a Lidl at the other end of the street that the apartment is on.
You're a 10 minute walk along The Great Western to Oran Mor, the Botanic Gardens and Byers Road for more great shopping and places to eat and drink. Going back across the Subway car park in the other direction, you can head across Kelvingrove Park up to the University where a look around the Hunterian Museum or across the road to the Hunterian Art Gallery is worth a visit, we always call into the Kelvingrove museum as well, such a beautiful building. You're never too far away from a station on the Subway loop which can take you into Town, and we get off at either St Enochs or Buchanan Street to hit the shops. Glasgow has so much to see and do, we love it.
We will definitely be coming back as son at GU, so hoping to use this apartment again, it's fab.
On street parking charges are very expensive (£1.20 for 15 minutes / £4.80 for one hour!!). It is free from 6pm to 8am and at the weekend, but we were staying here midweek.
The best solution was to drive to Kelvinbridge Subway station and park in their car park. It was only £3.20 for 2 hours or £8.15 for the whole day (up to 11.30pm) pay on exit at the barrier OR pay £8.15 at the ticket office and this includes your Subway return ticket too. Honestly it took longer to drive around to the station than walking, as the path from the station, under the bridge, comes out directly opposite the apartment.
You could always drive up past the Botanic Gardens where there is no street permit parking but we were happy to park at the Subway and pay the daily rate instead.

Great location, near by to local pubs and shops.
Kitchen had all the amenities needed (except pepper lol) the ceilings in this house were stunning!!
House was spacious and rooms were super cute. We Loved the bed linen!
Heating was comfortable during stay.
Super close to subway station - less then 5 min walk!
The door to the laundry was a bit sketchy with about 6 locks on the door.
Bathroom needs a coat of paint and regrouting due to age and maybe a bigger extractor fan for steam.
Beds were a bit on the thin and Squeeky side however were comfortable for 4 nights.

Very spacious great location all appliances of good standard washing machine and dryer available.
The apartment is ground floor right on the street. Need to keep windows and blinds closed for privacy and security very musty smell. The property is partially renovated areas look shabby and needs painting. Kitchen while well equipped could have been cleaner. Washing machine and dryer located in shabby stairwell out of the back door of the apartment,

This is a really beautiful Victorian flat, very spacious and airy with lovely period features and high ceilings.
On the ground floor and with its own street entrance, but still feels very secure due to two doors.
Great location in the West End of Glasgow with lots of restaurants and bars close by, walking distance to Hunterian & Kelvingrove museums, but still nice and quiet at night.
Highly recommend

Location excellent. Property large and airy with all facilities.
Only disappointment is that we expected parking to be £5/day as stated in property details. Parking around the property is on a meter which involves downloading an app which is not easy to use and phone line is automatic and does not readily understand. Free parking is approximately one mile away.

Fantastic location just short walk from Kelvinbridge subway.
Very quiet area. Stayed over the weekend and very quiet outside at night and quiet neighbours. Felt a safe area to stay in.
Very comfortable and spacious flat. Well equipped.
Super host - pleasant to speak to and quick communication.
We had a great stay and would love to stay again at this flat.
Windows can’t be opened - think the flat could do with some fresh air inside especially on the warmer days.
Front door can be tricky to open but host made this clear to us and told us the knack to opening it.

It's a lovely big flat with everything you need in it, great location round the corner from shops and restaurants

Once a very well furnished and renovated apartment, in a good location.
The apartment is poorly maintained. Everything (especially the kitchen) was dirty and sticky. (small example in the pictures) The worst thing by far is that you can't open the windows and the apartment is unventilated and unhealthy. After the first miserable night, we left the apartment.
Parking is only possible overnight or for a maximum of 3 hours during the day. It is not possible to leave the car at the house and visit the city.

Very spacious with access to all areas. Great location close to park, shops, bars. Clean light. Fully equipped kitchen with big table. Big sofa, huge bedrooms. Very quiet at night.
Front door lock very difficult to open. Glass door to bathroom ?? Parking information inadequate.

The size of flat was bigger than expected.
Quieter than expected on cul de sac and secondary glazing. Excellent.
Location was perfect, quiet street close to busy thoroughfare.
Plenty towels.
Nice and clean.
No control over temperature - cold one evening, too hot another.
No windows opened for air or cooling.
Bath difficult for older visitors, could use a rubber mat and shower caps.
Pillows too soft for side sleepers. (Really getting picky here)!

The property was above and beyond exceptional. Convenient to places to eat and shop sight see
7.0 / 10.0
Location very good, subway and open spaces nearby
Bathroom had no grab rails in the bath/shower, very dangerous!!
Also, no soap holder in bath/shower and no grippy rubber mat for use when having a shower.
Window sill in bathroom needed cleaning, as did area between inner and outer front door.
5.0 / 10.0
The location was handy to shops, restaurants and it was a pleasant 20 minute stroll to the central city. The rooms were nicely decorated, and were light and spacious. Good to have a garden to relax in after a busy day. There is on-street parking and we usually found a spot reasonably close to the apartment, currently it is paid parking between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., free at weekend.
The ventilation was poor. As confirmed by the host, the windows don't open (there's no air con) except with a bit of agility, you can climb up on the window sill in the bathroom window to open that window. The fresh air doesn't really reach the bedrooms and living areas though. Despite using the rangehood in the kitchen while prepping breakfast, cooking fumes were still present when we returned several hours later. Worth knowing that the washer and dyer are not in the apartment itself. The rear door opens to a shared hallway and they are in a cupboard under the stairs. The garden is also accessed that way.

Lovely and clean flat in a perfect location. Free parking at the weekend in Glasgow was a big bonus too.

Very attractively decorated and fitted. The kitchen was amazing and extremely well kitted out. Superb range cooker, Nespresso machine, and everything and more than you would expect and hope for. A useful selection of ingredients and staples, too.
Pretty sitting room with lots of space. Comfortable bedrooms.
Fabulous location - quiet but a couple of minutes' walk from Subway, G W Road, Kelvingrove, etc etc.
There was a glitch with a couple of things - leaky radiator, dishwasher function, bathplug, and in such an elegant space I was surprised by the hanging rail (no wardrobe) in bedroom.

Everything was lovely but the beds and pillows were really uncomfortable.

The location was perfect. Close to city centre and close to galleries, restaurants etc. Easy for u public transport. Subway 5 mins away and buses. The street was quiet which was great.
One of the beds had a thin mattress which was not comfortable . The other bed was great.

This flat was spotless, spacious, well equipped, in an amazing location . Even parking was easy, no small feat for the west end, always got a spot near the flat and parking was free after 6 pm. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would stay again. We only communicated with Alastair by text but he had provided us with some useful information and his mobile number if we needed it, so we felt we were looked after, but everything was great, so we didn't need anything else. Would highly recommend
Opaque glass on bathroom door not great for privacy, but this can in no way detract from how lovely and comfortable it was overall.

My partner and I and our daughter and her partner were all very happy with this flat. As we were staying in Glasgow in order to attend a family party we needed to stay close by The Great Western Road. The whole of this area where the flat is located is delightful. The host was very helpful and good natured when we rang to confirm our arrival. We took note of their advice as to places to eat on our first evening and enjoyed our meal immensely. We all slept comfortably (it is incredibly quiet!) Basically, the flat is super.
All was excellent!

Appartamento stupendo, ha tutto ciò che serve ed è’ arredato con grande gusto
Unico neo e’ la sorretura che e’ difettosa e si fa molta fatica ad aprire, sono convinto che il proprietario la cambierà a breve
