RVA - Clerigos Apartments

Location, design & layout, included amenities (light blocking curtains & A/C were great), linens felt and smelled very clean. Felt very cozy and like home. Had nearly everything we needed. Decor was nice! The regular wifi network that RVA lists in the paperwork was SUPER slow (like 1-10 MBPS), but I just joined the 5G option (different network name but could tell it was RVA’s) using the same password, and the speed was MUCH faster, good enough for video calls for work. Excellent value for what was included!

The only small critique is that the shower door is very awkward. With the way the bathroom is laid out, the shower door, place to hang towels, and sink are very squished together. Lots of space on the toilet side. You have to open the shower door and reach all the way around the door to access where the towels hang. We noticed some mildew on the wall where the towels hang. Perhaps add some hooks on the other side of the sink (toilet side), or in another place in the bathroom. A retractable clothing line in the shower would have been helpful.

The location is good.

The bathroom and the bedroom are on different floors. The apartment is described as a split level, but very deceptively, the fact that the bathroom and the bedroom are on different floors was NOT communicated. I only learned of this fact after a non refundable deposit was paid. I would NEVER knowingly book an accommodation where the bedroom and bathroom are not on the same floor.

Fantastic location next to Clerigos. Quiet at night, all amenities we needed, very comfortable bed and lots of space The staff went out of their way to get us going and were always in contact. (Bonuses: extra towels, water in fridge)

Leaving... :)

The property was very clean, the apartment looked great, the shower was amazing and the staff were very helpful and friendly, we left our suite casses in the main office on our last day, for a few hours as the plane didn’t leave until late, which was great. The complimentary bottle of water in the fridge came in handy and was very much appreciated.

I loved the property and was very happy, but if I could have made it perfect for me, Some privacy curtains so that we didn’t need to close the main curtains while we were getting ready, more hooks would have been great in the hall and bedroom, and maybe a small table in the bedroom to put some of our belongings.
