Overall we are glad we stayed here. The location is really good for seeing everything in Porto as it's so central. The apartment itself was very clean and the bed was large (king size I think) and comfortable. We didn't need the air-conditioning but there's one in both the living area and bedroom. We requested a cot for our 2 year old, and they were kind enough to make this up for us ready for our arrival with all bedding included and ready to go which was great for our tired toddler when we arrived. And we really appreciated that we could store our luggage before our evening flight after checkout.
I wouldn't say the location is the most family friendly just due to the number of restaurants and bars on this street. It was very noisy from 8pm-5am and whilst the apartment is really well soundproofed, the base from one of the bars still makes it's way through and goes all night. If you're visiting for the nightlife I really don't think you'll find it a problem - again the soundproofing is surprisingly good considering how noisy the street is! But I wouldn't recommend here for families for this reason.

The apartment was spacious, and clean. The kitchen was mostly stocked with everything required for a multi-day stay. It's in a funky neighborhood with easy walking access to restaurants, clubs, historical sites, the river, the Port Wine tours and unique artisan shops. The beds were comfortable.
Downside - this outweighed all the positives: While the soundproofing was sufficient to block the street noise from the many outside eating and drinking areas, there was some club that shared walls with the building that had a sub-woofer pulsing from midnight to 6 AM. It wasn't just the noise. Each beat vibrated the floor making sleep difficult for us. One member of the party moved his mattress to the living room floor to try and escape the problem, but that was only marginally effective.
Our apartment was on the first floor. We contacted the manager, but they had nothing else available. So we had to struggle with it for 4 nights. The other couple decided to move the last night, so that they could rest before their long flight.
Because of this, what could have been a perfect place cannot be recommended.
