Superbe appartement loft vieil Antibes

The location was central to everything

Difficult lugging suitcases up the steep staircase to the apartment. The air conditioner struggled to cool the loft sleeping area, so it was very hot when trying to sleep. Maybe the aircon filter needs cleaning?

The location was amazing

I filtered on accommodation with car parks and this property showed in the search results so I booked it. Once I booked it I could see it didn’t have a car-park. When I enquired with the owner/manager she advised me I could park 10-15 minutes away catch a free shuttle. I replied that I was travelling with my 13 year old daughter and we had large bags and didn’t want to be transporting them from a car park to the apartment. The owner/manager replied that we could ‘park outside’ and drop our bags, then take the car to the car park. However, when we arrived there was no way to get a car anywhere near the apartment and we were advised to park in a carpark nearby which we had to pay for. We then had to walk 7 minutes with all of baggage which was exactly what I didn’t want to do. Once we arrived sweating and hot we had to lug our suitcases up three flights of non air conditioned stairs as there is no lift in the building. I found the experience dishonest.
