About this cottage rental

This delightful house has it all - oak beams, flagstones, underfloor geothermal heating, log fire, French doors, south facing garden, large bedroom and bathroom with shower and bath; linens and towels provided, bed made up. It's the perfect romantic getaway for two people. From the garden you can see the sun preparing to set behind the trees beyond, and listen to loads of birdsong. There is a parking space outside the front door on the 'village green'. The downstairs is one large open-plan kitchen/living/dining area; the walls have all been beautifully plastered and lime-washed with a warm but very light shade of honey. Upstairs, exposed oak beams throughout the bedroom and mezzanine enhance the recent renovation of this charming property. Our stonemason and estate agent now tell me that they both regret not having bought the house for themselves!

We very much enjoyed our stay in this wonderful idyllic place. It has everything you need and more. Plenty of space for a young family. The garden is a little piece of paradise and also the small village and surroundings are very idyllic. Ideally located to visit the highlights of the region.

Superb location if you are seeking peace and beauty. Tastefully furnished and decorated - modern yet in keeping- great little suntrap of a garden -and watch the bats and owls flying around the church next door at night. Lovely market towns in reach in all directions for great food to eat in or out,. Perfect hosts nearby if needed but never intrusive.

The cottage in Corsaint is well equipped, clean and cosy. It still has its local feel. It's situated in a quiet place and has an enclosed garden, perfect for a dog to play in. For a couple with a dog this is the perfect place to be. Nice places to visit are Semur, Vézelay, Noyers and the Morvan region. We loved our stay there.

The house is an old house, which was renovated nicely and with a lot of feeling for beauty. It has a beautiful and very quiet garden in the back. Everything that one could need is there, including wifi, a dishwasher and a washing machine. The hosts are very warm, welcoming and helpful. They even lent us their car for a couple of days when ours needed repairs. We hope to come back here ourselves again in the future and can recommend this place most strongly!

Already at our arrival Bill and Jenny gave us a warm welcome. We enjoyed our stay very much in this cozy and charming cottage.Especially in the evening and night it was quiet, you could only hear some birds (and the soft chiming of the churchbells). Many interesting places and lovely villages are in easy reach. The building of a medieval castel in Guedelon, the near village Semur-en- or Flavigny, the film location of "Chocolat". Or the ancient battlefield "Alesia" where the romans beat the Gauls. We surely will return, the next time in a more lively season because in the end of Octobre many restaurants are closed in the evening. But in the nearby supermarket in Epoisses we found everything to cook our dinner ourselves in the very well equipped house. René & Yvonne, Switzerland

We loved our two week stay in beautiful Corsaint! The gîte is very comfortable and lovely in every way. The bed is great and the kitchen has everything you need to make a meal of any complexity you are capable of preparing(after a day of sightseeing, hiking and eating our lunches out, we usually opted for simple fromage and charcuterie). We usually finished off our days sitting in the backyard with a glass of wine, after all you’re in Burgundy,

This is the third time we have stayed in this lovely gite and it was as wonderful this time as it was the first two times. It is very well appointed with all the cooking utensils and serving dishes one needs even if entertaining several guests as we did. We loved seeing the church next door lit up at night and hearing the bells chime on the hour and half hour. We hope to return again to this tranquil, idyllic setting.

They live in a neighbouring village and when you phone Bill he happily comes round to change a bulb or deal with any other matters very promptly. We have stayed in several cottages in France and this is definitely our favourite.

We had a wonderful week in Corsaint. The cottage is beautifully renovated and has all the comforts of home. Despite the cooler than expected weather we were able to enjoy sitting in the sunshine in the garden most afternoons. Then later in the evening enjoyed a glass of wine in front of the wood burning stove. Extremely relaxing. Corsaint is a very peaceful little village, and ideally located to explore the area. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and there is more than enough to see and do. A week wasn't long enough!

A beautiful cottage with a lovely peaceful garden, just as described and with everything you would need for a relaxing holiday. The property has been tastefully renovated, a mix of French cottage style, but with modern day essentials and comfortable furnishings. A perfect location for walking, cycling and visiting many interesting towns, villages and markets in the area. This is our 4th visit to one of Bill & Jenny's properties-highly recommended-and we will definately be back again!

We had a wonderful stay in this very charming, warm and well-equiped cottage. A peaceful spot in the middle of beautiful countryside. We made some daytrips, but were most at ease when we returned to "our" home for the week. We accidentally left our laptop behind and Bill very adquately took care of that. We will certainly return to Corsaint!

This cottage has been lovingly restored and has quirky charm and is very comfortably furnished with an excellent well planned open plan living space of the entire ground floor. The owners are 2km away and very helpful and attentive to any queries. The village is very peaceful and the cottage has a garden area outside the kitchen which catches the afternoon sunshine. We loved our stay and the area and are planning to return to the same property next year.

We love this house in Corsaint, having stayed there twice with another week booked in the Autumn. The renovation to the property is interesting, sympathetic and of a very high quality. It is extremely comfortable and that makes it ideal if the weather is changeable. Everything is provided to make self catering very easy if that is your choice but Bill is very knowledgable about the local area and can recommend many places to eat at or visit. The village is very peaceful with most of the traffic being farm vehicles, and the local area has many interesting places to explore without having to travel too far on the quiet scenic roads. Most amenities are very close by. We are very much looking forward to our next stay at a different time of year - perhaps we'll get the chance to use the log burner.

This property was even nicer than we anticipated - beautifully renovated and decorated and larger than it looked from the photos on the website. We loved hearing the church bells, and enjoyed walking around the local countryside (it's always a bonus to be able to walk from home). We thought Epoisses was lovely - the chateau is totally underplayed - and we had a fascinating trip to Guedelon (a 13th Century castle in the making, less than 2 hours drive away). Recommended!

This is a quaint cottage in a picturesque Burgundy village next to an old church whose bells provide a tranquil and spiritual atmosphere. I stayed here for three weeks and loved every minute of it. It is very close to Epoisse which has a wonderful bakery where one can get fresh bread and pastries. It is also close to the beautiful walled city of Semur en Auxois which has several superb restaurants. The countryside has rolling hills which are easy to walk along and the village is very peaceful. The cottage itself is very tastefully furnished with everything one needs for a memorable stay. The owners are very helpful in providing information re: restaurants and interesting places to see in the surrounding countryside. I hope to return again soon for another wonderful immersion into the Burgundian lifestyle.

A Wonderful Month

We stayed in this lovely cottage for 4 weeks. Throughout our entire stay, Bill, the owner, made every attempt to make our stay most enjoyable. He was always just a phone call away, and supplied us with our every need including extra wood for the fireplace during the cold spell. The cottage itself is very comfortable and spacious, with all the amenities that are needed for a long term stay. The setting is bucolic with rolling hills and picturesque villages throughout the area. And if a dose of city life is needed, then Dijon & Beaune are just an hour away. We wanted to find a holiday rental home in a secluded "off the beaten track " kind of place. Corsaint is exactly this place. We have had eleven wonderful days despite the low temperatures. We visited all the places of interest and there are certainly other attractive sites we have not seen yet. We went to Dijon twice, a town well worth seeing. The cottage itself is a wonderful place to start and end the day. After we had returned from our tours, we enjoyed sitting by the fireside. If you enjoy cooking, you will find a kitchen that is fully stocked with everything you need. We thank Bill, the owner, whom we loved talking to.
