Secluded within it's own orchard with the sound of birdsong, croaking of frogs in the mill pond, scent of wild herbs and views southwards down the valley to the nearby vineyards and rolling hills of Burgundy.
The massive medieval walls above of Flavigny- where the film "Chocolat" was shot - will draw you in to discover artists shops, restaurants and the ancient abbey where they still make the famous aniseed pastilles.
This stunning 2 bedroom cottage of exceptional charm, entirely renovated to an exacting modern standard with considerable flair, will seduce you with it's atmospheric feeling of peace and contentement.
The cottage is on 3 levels ; the attic twin bedroom has an old beamed ceiling with 2 windows making it light and airy. There is a seperate toilet and washbasin making it ideal for children or adolescents.
On the middle level there is a fully fitted kitchen with all modern appliances, eating area, television, wood burning stove and sofa.
On the lower level, that can be accessed by the oak ladder or by going outside, there is the double bedroom, an ensuite shower, toilet and washbasin and double doors that lead out to the terrace and garden.
The garden has several mature fruit trees, help yourselves to make apple or cherry tarts, everything you need can be found in the house.
There is a bar b que for hot summer days, sun lougers and a good selection of deck furniture including a set of armchairs and sofa with cushions. If you are looking to sunbathe or read a book in the shade you will find plenty of choice in the garden, pots of flowers and bird watching could also inspire you to paint....

Beautiful stone cottage - loved the ladders and wood stove - the kids loved loft bedroom. Was great to walk into such a beautiful little village - was the perfect stay in regional France !

Nice short stay villa, good facilities. Very quiet location with great walking access to Flaviny. The owner was very responsive to our queries. We ordered some food which was excellent after a long drive.

We had a lovely quiet Christmas break at La Tour, enjoying walks in the countryside and reading by the fire. The property is charming and well designed and the kitchen is well equipped - we cooked at home every night except the first when we ordered from Louise's menu of home cooked regional specialities. Such a treat! We'd love to come again in the spring!

The house is a little jewel in a lovely area next to the pittoresque Flavigny-sur-Ozerain. The gîte is clean, charming and extraordinary and we spent a calm and wonderful Christmas in this beautiful place. The fireplace made the house warm and cosy. The gîte is very well equipped with everything you need. We also loved the hiking paths around the village. Louise is a very nice person and a marvelous host. We recommend the house and its spot. It must be wonderful to be there also in another season and to enjoy the lovely garden too.
