The villa itself is stunning — beautifully maintained, full of character, and set in the most breathtaking spot overlooking the lake. A huge thank you to Monica, who was absolutely amazing and so helpful throughout our stay. She made everything completely stress-free, from our arrival to our departure.

Gorgeous apartment in perfect location

Beautiful apartment in the most magical location with private garden overlooking lake. The accommodation is stylish, comfortable and spotless. Kitchen equipped with everything you could possibly need. We had a copious and delicious breakfast delivered every morning with organic products Monica is a charming, responsive and attentive host and was very helpful making restaurant reservations for us, also arrival instructions were very easy to follow. We had no difficulty in parking in private car park very close to property Would not hesitate to return to this very special place

This has been a family owned and run business since 1950’s by two generations of women with vision and a desire to provide the best possible visitor experience. The vistas of Lake Orta and mountains are breathtaking from every direction and the SPA Wellness facilities and treatments are spectacular (our acknowledgement and appreciation to Denise for her dedication to the meaning of Wellness and her dedication). This is a quiet couple’s only property which has undergone extensive and beautiful restoration which had everything we could ask for.

My wife and I spent an amazing 3 days at Antica Colonia. We shall definitely return.

This is a small boutique hotel (only 7 apartments). There is a spa, sauna, pool, jacuzzi and lounge / bar area all with magnificent views over Lake d'Orta. There is no restaurant in the hotel but there is a wide choice of hot and cold dishes available for breakfast in your room - and some excellent restaurants in the village and local town (Pettenasco) - just a 5 minute drive away. The staff are very friendly and they go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.

The only drawback is that the private parking area about 50 metres from the hotel (and the access roads in the village) are better suited to a little Fiat 500 than to a Volvo XC60.

Fantastic Experience, highly recommended.

Everything about this property was A+++. Exceptional views, room and property. Out host, Monica,was fantastic, and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we required and was very helpful providing concierge services. Jacuzzi and pool areas are excellent with outstanding scenic views of the lake and surrounds. Great selection of food and drink for breakfast, delivered to your room right on requested time.

We stayed in the penthouse suite and the views were spectacular! Monica was a great hostess and helped in everyway possible...from places to see, restaurants, the spa. I would highly recommend the Villa Antica, you will not be disappointed! A definite 10! We will be back!

Great long weekend in a great location with lovely host and personal

The location, the appartment, the breakfast and the massages, all was above expectations. We were welcomed by Monica, who was always avaiable during our stay. Helped by good weather we enjoyed the terrace and seating arrangements. The proposed restaurant was indeed easily reachable and very nice as well. All and all a super experience!

Peace of paradise on earth!

We stayed at the penthouse apart which was a masterpiece in terms of decoration, cleanliness with a fully equipped kitchen no mentioning the view. Oh the view!!!! It is breathtaking!! With calm and peaceful surroundings! Monica the owner is very passionate about her property and supportive for any need you may have.

Dream stay

We loved the exclusivity of the place, not many rooms, quiet environment, amazing amenities. Everything was very clean and taken care of. The pool, garden and views are just breathtaking. We stayed in casa Monica, perfect size place with a balcony where we enjoyed our meals and aperitivos and again, the view. We had a folder with recommendations of things to do, etc. We rented half a day of a boat to explore Lake Orta, highly recommended, we were picked up and left in our accommodation. Surroundings are good, a great small restaurant nearby and also a supermarket downtown. Breakfast was incredible, so many things to choose from and great quality of ingredients. Last but not at all least, Monica was very accommodating and on top of anything we needed. Dream stay to definitely be repeated.

Fantastic stay in a beautiful apartment and location

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Antica Colonia - the most stunning apartment and surroundings. Monica was just fantastic with everything and was so helpful throughout our stay - she was always at the end of a WhatsApp to help us with anything or to answer any questions. We stayed in apartment ‘Giuseppe’ which was just beautiful, and fell in love with the private terrace and views across Lake Orta. The breakfast basket was AMAZING - fresh, local produce which was all such excellent quality and delicious (Monica was also able to provide gluten free options for me which was great.) The location was brilliant, and we were able to get around the lake and beyond very easily (we had a car.) The perfect base to visit lots of places in the local area, but equally we also loved relaxing at the villa. (Bed and pillows are also probably the comfiest I’ve slept on!) Thank you Monica for an amazing stay at your beautiful place!

Italian romance at its best.

Everything about the apartment was beautiful. The decor, the history, the location, the view, the hot tub, the peacefulness, the wonderful breakfast, the chess board and of course, the brilliant hosts. It was truly magical. I was genuinely impressed.

Our needs were met in every way, there was nothing not to like. My only slightly negative comment would be that it was pretty hot at night as we had to keep the windows closed (because of mosquitos), so I would have enjoyed aircon, but this isn’t great for the environment so I’m fine with a fan, which was provided.

Stunning place, in fabulous location with perfect hostess. We had the duplex apartment which was very private, quiet and clean and we had the best time. Romantic retreat

The villa was beautifully refurbished with contemporary fittings, but you still had the elegance of the 18th century villa. Huge walk in shower, all rooms were tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean. We had an amazing roof terrace with stunning views of the Lake The owner Monica was fantastic, even booking a restaurant for us on two occasions. Always on hand.

It would not be particularly suitable for young children or elderly, but as a honeymoon couple, could not have been better!

Das liebevoll eingerichtete Apartment. Die Idee mit dem Frühstückskörbchen, dass man ganz privat im Apartment auf dem Balkon frühstücken kann. Der Pool und der Jacuzzi mit einem Wahnsinnsblick auf den See. Die freundliche Gastgeberin, die alle Wünsche von den Lippen ablesen kann!
