wonderful hosts

Lovely homely Bed and Breakfast with a beautiful terrace and great views. Tina and Walter are lovely hosts and made us feel so welcome into their home, although the accommodation is separate entrance so also private. The parking access is great and we enjoyed dinner within easy walking distance at the Osteria and Pizzeria

A stunning place & perfect hosts.

Such a warm welcome from our hosts, Tina & Walter, a delightful couple who went out of their way to make us feel at home. We booked B&B Aurora for our honeymoon and couldn't have chosen a better place which is set on the hillside with glorious views of Lake Orta. On arrivals, rose petals had been scattered from the front door through to our bedroom and Tina maintained that beautiful romantic gesture all the time we were there. We had the Junior Suite which is the entire top floor of their private home and it is spotlessly clean throughout. The bedroom is spacious with doors onto a large terrace which is nicely furnished with patio table & chairs and sun loungers for relaxing. The second bedroom, which used for storing our luggage, is also a decent size with fitted cupboards and wardrobes. There are coffee and tea making facilities and also a small fridge for cool drinks or snacks which was quite useful to have. Tina gave us plates and cutlery so we could have a light meal evening if we didn't feel like driving to a restaurant (Conad supermarket is 10 min drive away). We hired a car from the airport as public transport is restricted. Without a car it would be difficult to get around & some of the hills are steep. There is an Osteria within 5 min walking distance (good food) and also a great pizzeria (Vecchio Forno in Pettenasco) which you can walk to (30 mins). A great cheese & cold meat shop (Cusio Formaggeria) is 10min drive in Pettenasco. There is also a small private waterside bay/beach about 500m away (with parking) where you can swim in the clear waters of the lake. A lovely continental breakfast served every morning in the garden had a good selection of cold meat, cheese, cakes, bread rolls, yoghurt, cereal, good quality jams and honey. Our hosts invited us to spend as much time in their garden as we wanted.

Absolutely nothing - it was superb! Tina and Walter could not have done more to ensure our satisfaction. They were so helpful, friendly and wanted to make sure we had a lovely time.

Enjoyed the nice view from the terrace

Great view of the lake and mountains from the large terrace which is equipped with chairs and table and lounge chairs. Junior Suite is more a small appartement - it has one large bedroom, a smaller room with a fridge and a bathroom. The private beach which is approx. 10 minutes by car from the house is a nice add-on on hot days to refresh in the lake. Overall, the location is great as it is easy to get to San Giulio and also Lago Maggiore. Very nice hosts which provide you with infos and reservations if needed. 2 restaurants within walking distance. Lactose-free breakfast was possible and much appreciated just as the fresh blueberries from the garden!

Nothing resp. nothing the hosts can do anything about: it is important to know that the street to the B&B and the streets in the small village of Crabbia are very narrow and steep. Might be a challenge for some car types...

Had an amazing time staying here. Would highly recommend and hope to make a return visit one day.

The breakfast was very good; if a little repetative. The location was stunningly beautiful and not far from Orta San Giulio, nor other sights such as lake Maggiore, Mount Montarrone, Villa Taranto at Verbania, lake Mergozzo and numerous other places. Our hosts were lovely people; so friendly and hospitable. They went above and beyond expectations to ensure we h ad a lovely stay. We highly recommend a stay at their B&B.

Sehr schöne Lage, 100 hm über dem See, mit super Aussicht. Wohnung sehr großzügig und gut ausgestattet.Sehr nette Wirtsleute.
