The town location and the lakeside terrace are fantastic and the extended grapevine-covered balcony from the master bedroom is very special. We spent hours playing in the lake- apparently the cleanest in Europe.Francesca was extremely nice, super-helpful and fast to reply- she really went over and above what you'd expect from a host

Loved this place. Spent hours relaxing in the private garden at water's edge, with wonderful views of Isola San Giulio, the wildlife, and boats. Short walk to charming historic village centre. Note that nearest supermarket is in Pettenasco, a short drive away. We stayed for a week at end May and enjoyed the jasmine scent in the garden, the sunsets, and the chattering of swallows. Francesca was very welcoming and super helpful. We hope to be back.

Parking is tricky but once parked up, you can walk, swim, cycle or kayak, abandon the car for a few days, kick back and relax.

We absolutely loved this beautiful home directly on Lago d'Orta. Francesca was a very helpful, communicative host. Everything was very clean and the home was very well maintained. Very good size for a family or for entertaining guests. Highly recommend for a visit to Orta San Giulio.

Francesca’s house on Lake Orta, just a short walk from the charming little village of Orta San Giulio, was a perfect stay. The house is right on the lake, wonderfully clean and spacious. We couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful place to enjoy the lake and it’s surrounds.

The house is pretty and in a great situation, close to the town with direct access to the lake. We loved swimming from the steps on the terrace before an evening drink in the sunshine. Bedrooms overlooking the lake are lovely.

Beautiful spacious lakeside house with access to the lake from the back garden - perfect for our group of friends out in Italy for a wedding in the town. The piazza with its many restaurants and gelato shops is a five minute walk away which makes this a pretty perfect location to just be able to dump the car and wander around the town. Lots of useful things provided (coffee pots, towels, sun beds etc.) but sadly the fishing rod proved unsuccessful at catching lunch. Parking is in the town car park (10 min walk) at €5/day at the time of writing - vehicle access to the house to drop bags though. Only downside was that the cleaning fee wasn’t mentioned in our original booking, but I think Francesca has rectified this now so it will show up at the time of booking.

Francesca’s place was all we expected and more! The house is beautiful and tidy and has everything you can possible need in way of kitchen utensils etc. The water of the lake is crystal clear and the access from the steps is easy. When we visited it was really warm too. Even our 4&5 year old kids could swim there with their swim rings! Francesca was very friendly and helpful, thank you F for everything! When we stayed the weather was very hot (even +37 Celsius) but downstairs it stayed pleasantly cool. On the top floor it was really hot though, but I believe that this really was exceptional heat for June at least. The restaurants are very close by and there is a little shop for groceries as well as a bakery. For a bigger (and cheaper) selection you might want to go to another village (we went by taxi, but you could cycle too). Strong recommendation!

Francesca’s Lago d’Orta home was the absolute perfect place for our two families to land after our overseas travel. The house and setting is a fairytale, everything was perfect. The house is beautifully and meticulously kept, the location perfect for quick strolls into the piazza, letting our kids roam free and the lake access so much fun. All of us, grown ups too, had the best time jumping into the lake! We had an incredible stay and will always have fond memories. ❤️
