I originally thought when I booked that I may be paying a little higher than necessary for a hotel in Saumur but I was wrong - this hotel was worth every cent! It was perfectly positioned just next to the old square and the owner was super-accommodating with parking our car each day. The room (deluxe double) was spectacular with such an olde-world feel but with every convenience. It was considerately styled with a separate toilet/bathroom, magnifying mirror, plenty of other mirrors, a truly comfortable bed, several chairs, a great shower and a perfect view of the ancient church from the window. There is even a lift for luggage.
I can’t think of anything I didn’t like and I am quite fussy.

Historic building beautifully renovated and maintained. Interesting decor and an amazing breakfast. Located on a quiet street in the heart of the town. We would definitely stay there again
