We had a wonderful stay here. Helene and Joel are amazing, gracious hosts. They helped us book reservations, find a horseback riding outing for our daughter, and had great recommendations. Our rooms for our family of four were lovely, well appointed, and spotlessly clean. Their home is absolutely beautiful and it was so amazing to stay in a historic property with modern amenities. Helene’s breakfasts will remain in our memories, and she even made us chocolate chip cookies as a send off.

What a fantastic place to stay! From the moment we arrived, the welcome from Helene was superb. Showing us around this fabulous house and truly making us feel so welcome. The bedroom was stunning, we felt very special indeed, with everything we needed, and an extremely comfy bed. The breakfast was delicious and the location was perfect, we wish we had booked to stay longer…what a find! What made our stay so magical was the owner, Helene. She went above and beyond to help us and this is what made our stay so special. We cannot thank her enough for everything she did. If you are visiting Saumur, stay at Aux Marquises but stay a couple of nights at least, it’s worth it!
