Beautiful location, right on the river. Lovely outdoor seating area & use of a canoe, which was brilliant! The house was very clean, is beautifully decorated, has very comfortable beds and the kitchen is well-equipped. The pool is a good size but it is shared between 3 gites and had these all been fully occupied it would have been too small for the number of people. As it was there was only one other person in one of the holiday homes so we had full use, which was great.Overall we had a great stay.

Lovely house, pool and location - directly on the bank of the Dordogne river. Really peaceful and quiet village, coming from the Home counties the lack of aeroplane noise and sirens was so refreshing. The small town of Lalinde has all you need and a lovely restaurant in the town square. We spent a day in Bergerac, visited Castelnaud, Sarlat, Tremolat, Limeuil, Le Buisson, Beynac & Lascaux - Recommend all of them. A canoe trip along the river was a real highlight for us, there is so much to do. Don't overlook a wine tasting tour, organise your own, all of the vineyards are super welcoming. The whole area is so clean, friendly and welcoming, try speaking a little French, it goes a long, long way.In short, we had a fantastic two weeks at a lovely, large property. Thanks you.

We had a wonderful stay in Mauzac. The appartement / house is part of a former hotel and (3 levels) is spacious and comfortable. We were with our family of 5, but since there are 3 bathrooms it could also fit 2 family’s of 4. The surroundings are beautiful. We used the pool daily (shared but was always available for us )and made some short trips with the canoe provided by the owners. (Calm river, but if you would like lifevests, we advice to bring your own). Lalinde is the nearest town for groceries and various restaurants, but the Italian restaurant bella ciao at the end of the street was also good value for money. The contact with the owner went very smooth. Sue is very kind and helpful. A lot of tips on places to visit were provided beforehand but also available in the house. Also the owners of the adjacent property were friendly and welcoming. A car is handy since most sightseeing or activity is half an hour away by car. Which is totally acceptable in the Dordogne area. Thanks Sue, for being a great host!

We spent a wonderful holiday in the summer of 2008 in this extremely comfortable home - with its glorious river views. The house is exceptionally well furnished and luxurious in every respect. There are some lovely walks around the immediate area and very interesting chateaux and villages further afield if you so wish to investigate - which we thoroughly recommend. All in all a very enjoyable stay. We'll be back!!
