Old Dairy Cottage, Brodick

Super cottage, modern and pristine, set in very scenic countryside. Positioned close to Brodick with all the amenities and also Brodick Golf course, with many recognized walks, within easy distance. A great base for exploring the beautiful Isle of Arran, which all makes for a great experience for those folk who are fortunate to stay at the old Dairy cottage.

Meticulously clean, provided with absolutely everything, spacious and bright bathroom, very large bedroom with comfy bed, great vista towards the hills, quiet and tranquil as can be ! Easy walking distance to coastal path and Brodick

Wonderful accommodation on the amazing island of Arran.

This is an ideal stay for anyone who wants to be in countryside but in walking distance to Brodick and the main ferry terminal. It has a beautiful view of Goatfell and the surrounding hills and is south facing so has some wonderful sun (if you are lucky) in the afternoon and evening. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and had a good range of facilities for anyone who wants to self-cater. A pub with decent food is just a couple of minutes walk away.

It’s was a great wee farm house with great views and peaceful surroundings. Would definitely stay again.

It is nicely hidden away from the main town but not to far that it’s a burden. It was warm and cosy with great views of the hills and wild life. There were lots of red squirrels rabbits woodpeckers and other small birds every morning right outside the front door.

Beautiful accomodation in a stunning location with lovely hosts

The location was stunning. It was easy to go for beautiful walks from the cottage and also walk to Brodick . The house was spotless and had everything you needed. Although it was small, it felt spacious because of the design. It was lovely to see the stars through the skylight at night. The welcome pack items were delicious.

Really enjoyed it and would recommend to others.

The accommodation was clean, modern and had everything we needed. Private parking and wi-fi included. The massive king size bed was really comfortable. The outside space was perfect to enjoy the evening sun before/after dinner.

Unfortunately, no one met us on arrival to hand over keys. The property was a good distance from the main road and the last few hundred yards were in the dark, hence the torches attached to the keys.

Absolutely Fantastic Accommodation and Hosts!

Wonderful stay, the location was fabulous at the end of a out of town track. The hosts welcomed us warmly and provided a few nice treats on arrival. The cottage is presented immaculately throughout and has everything needed for a home from home holiday. The hosts provided bird and squirrel food for us to top up the garden feeders at leisure and we where rewarded with numerous species of birds visiting constantly and we mean, constantly, a few Red Squirrels also visited daily, which made for excellent tea time relaxation after long days on the hills. The whole experience far outweighed our expectations for the budget we used and we would not hesitate to recommend and indeed, we ourselves will be back for sure at some point in the future as a week simply was not enough. Thank you for a most wonderful week on Arran.

A very large slice of heaven.

Everything! We had an amazing week, Arran was already awesome to us, but west knowe cottage was the icing on the cake so comfortable and genuinely felt like home. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely lovely cottage, location and hosts. Just one thing to note is that taller people may struggle with the ceiling upstairs which is built into the roofspace so may need to crouch a little.

The old dairy was a fantastic place to stay. Beautiful scenery and stocked bird feeders meant you could sit outside and watch the birds and red squirrels literally on the doorstep. Inside was exceptionally clean comfortable well equipped and stylish. Would definitely return and recommend to others.

Superb

We loved the location as it was secluded, quiet enough to hear nature and the views were amazing! Loved that we had a seating area outside where we could enjoy our dinner and drinks watching the sunset. The place was easy to reach and central for all our hikes and Brodick was just a stroll or bike ride away. Property was well stocked with all of the essentials, a great selection of kitchen tools, etc. Easy to get a hold of the hosts for any problems.

I would have given them 10/10 if it wasn't for me feeling a bit of the bed springs (slept on the left side). I wish the bed had a mattress topper on top of the mattress. My other half didn't feel the bed springs. So I guess I am just one of those people that feel the small details. I've experienced way worst beds. I still managed to have good night's sleep which is what counts. Plus I would never say no to returning to this lovely wee place!

A fantastic weeks walking. Public Transport on island ideal if you don't want to bring a car.

Matthew met us at the ferry terminal in Brodick and arranged for us to be dropped of at end of stay, which was a huge bonus. Cottage was absolutely perfect and views from patio over mountains were beautiful, enhanced by a bird feeder which as always full of Chaffinches, Robins, Blue and Yellow tits.

Perfection

Jude and Matthew were amazing, an went above and beyond for us. So many nice touches, from the notes to tell you how everything works, to the gifts and the welcome message as you walk in. Everything was perfect! So perfect we got engaged here! The cottage was beautiful with everything you need. The mountain views from the bedroom windows were gorgeous every morning, Seeing the snow on the tall mountains roundabout, watching the different types of birds on the bird feeders and the red squirrel and pheasants running around. The bright stars in the sky, but even on cloudy nights complete quiet, except for the sound of the stream. There seemed to always be something different to look at through the windows. If you want somewhere peaceful, cosy with everything on your doorstep, but to feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, its definitely the place to stay.
