We knew and expected the accommodation would be small but it is very niftily laid out inside, with nice decor, and it's well kitted out with kitchen equipment. The skylights make it much brighter inside than you might expect from looking at the exterior. The shower was modern, clean, and worked well (a blessing in any holiday cottage!). The beds were comfy. There's a free public car park right next to the row of houses - not sure how busy it would get in the summer but we had no problem in March. It was quiet. You can see the water and Holy Isle looking sideways to the right from the bedrooms upstairs and it's nice to check in the morning if it's a nice sky over there! There's a good Co-op shop two or three minutes' walk from the front door - well stocked and open in the evenings. There are several places to eat (easy to walk to!) in Lamlash - in March some were not yet open at all, and some were open some days and not others - so you need to check in advance signs outside (websites not necessarily totally up to date) but we were happy. It was nice to be so near the water and there's an attractive expanse of green on the other side of the road before you get to the small beach. Details didn't mention availability of wi-fi, but it was there and worked well.
It would have been useful to know what the power of the microwave was, but we managed fine. Bathroom lights were very dim at night BUT there's a light box in the ceiling and it's plenty bright enough in the day! The sharp knives weren't very sharp but that's a thing in most holiday houses! (NB There are three beds but only two stools for the breakfast bar/table - but that wasn't a problem for us).

Lighting outside was not great and arrived in the dark and had a difficult time finding the place.

Entry instructions were clear and easy to follow, caretaking notes were succinct and useful. Owners friendly and helpful. Cottage itself was comfortable, warm, and well equipped - great place to stay.

The location was excellent with good access to pubs and hotels for meals. The Drift Inn was exceptional. Beautifully appointed and quiet property with a car park next door for free parking. Comfortable beds and good sized kitchen/lounge. Lovely hot shower in the bathroom. Co op within a short walk.
A couple more towels would be helpful for the bathroom and kitchen, particularly for longer stays. A mirror in the main bedroom would also be of benefit.
