HA Gateway Inn Hoian Priavate Pool Villa

Helpful team, especially with getting us bikes and answering questions. Great size for a few families travelling together. Huge bedrooms and bathrooms. Having someone make us local breakfasts onsite was lovely. Nice view of rice fields out the back.

Cleaning was still happening until 5 or 6pm on the day of arrival which was tough for small jet lagged kids to not be able to go to their rooms for a few hours after arrival. Intermittent communication before stay made me nervous (apparently they had an issue with booking.com) but was good when we were there. Very western problem and normal for Vietnam, but definitely some kid safety things we had to problem solve (balcony doors in top storey bedrooms have no locks, so can't really let little kids sleep in there without blocking access, very hard to restrict pool access etc). Again, seems normal for the region, but worth thinking through if you do have small kids. The outside area definitely could do with a tidy and general upgrade; wasn't great to sit in the outdoor areas really.

Everything was amazing, staff super friendly, great value. Any questions we had were fulfilled and we were even sent recommendations of what to do and where to go.

Clean and stunning villa with great communal spaces for large groups. Sadly, one night wasn't enough! The AC throughout the property made the stay incredibly pleasant despite the heat.

The hotel was excellent. The atmosphere was very peaceful, and the private pool was a highlight of the stay. The staff was professional, and the room was clean and comfortable.

Everything was great; I have no complaints.
