Handy for visiting Lindau

Easy check in with friendly staff, free parking, short distance from Lindau town (easy to drive there or they gave us a free bus ticket to go in), supermarket a short drive away. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean

Take the bus to Lindau - no need to drink and drive!

Pension Grübel comprises approx. 9 small flats some 3km from Lindau. The price was very fair considering the fact that Lindau is a tourist hotspot for people from the south of Germany. The Pension (Guesthouse) is relatively easy to find, has parking and the host welcomed us personally. There are good arrangements for late arrivers. The room was rather small and I would not have wanted to stay more than 2 days but was clean and tidy and the bathroom perfectly acceptable. (Not enough room to sit down though.) Perfect for an overnight stay with a good bus connection in and out of Lindau. And the bus fare is included in the local resort tax! The host supplied free tea and coffee; but only one tea bag each, one coffee sachet each and powdered milk. We like to have a tea when we arrive and another in the morning! Such a shame when there is not only a small fridge in the room but also another in the corridor outside for all guests to use. The idea was right!

Perfekt place for a quick stay

The place offers exactly what it advertises, simple, cheap, clean rooms. There is free parking right in front of the hotel, and also 2 bus lines which run every 30 minutes. They go into the city center. Guests receive a free bus ticket valid for the entire period of their stay, it is called ECHT BODENSEE CARD, which also offers many other services. Check-in was simple. Very quiet neighborhood. The rooms in one house are on the top floor. There were 2 shared bathrooms for 4 rooms which is more than enough.

No supermarket nor restaurants nearby, the house is made out of wood and thus not at all soundproofed (for sensitive people).

Very good

The accommodation was great. I stayed overnight while travelling further, but it met all my expectations. The room was small, just enough for one and the social facilities were very clean, even though it was shared. At the arrival I was given a return bus ticket to the Lindau which was a pleasant surprise for me and you cab get to the Lindau Insell in 15 mins by bus with only one change. Overall, for one night stay I was very satisfied, the breakfast and cup of coffee in the morning was perfect.

It was very close to Lindau center by car, in a calm area. I could arrive any time. It was very clean.

It was quite hot in the room and you could hear other people, so it was hard to sleep when others left early. Room and bathroom are tight, but for a single person absolutely fine.

Friendly staff, flexible and comprehensive. Excellent welcoming things like coffee, te and water that make the difference.

WIFI was unusable and unacceptable. In 2021 you cannot have a useless Internet WIFI, it was really disappointing. The breakfast is just ok.
