September trip to Camping Bella Italia

It has everything, restaurants, cafes, supermarket, playgrounds, washing machines (€5 ), waterslides, bike rental, gelato, etc. Also, the bus stop is nearby, you can easily hop on a bus to get to Verona Airport and Sirmione. The waterslides are very kid friendly and there are areas designed for toddlers and slightly older kids. Our 3yo and 5yo had the best time in the pools. We stayed at a Bungalow which includes linens, towels and cleaning fees. The staff on site are friendly and speak English.

The bungalow is quite basic which is reflected in the price. It doesn't have a hair dryer. The beds are not very comfortable The check in time is 5pm. We checked with the cleaner that our room was okay to check in around 3pm but the reception kept saying the room wasn't ready so we couldn't get the keys until 5pm. This can be a bit annoying for those with younger children. The water was quite cold (as at 28 September)

Amazing time away with my family, just lacking on actual living space

The location was fab, pool, supermarket, shops everything was amazing. The walk to the lake was gorgeous and right on our doorstep.

The apartments were grubby, one of our apartments flooded through the toilet during a thunderstorm and nothing was done about it. We had to push multiple times to get the apartment cleaned. Our fabric suitcases got soaked, so clothes were wet from water flowing out of the toilet. Was a disaster. We got a double bed that was 2 single mattress pushed together I we constant fell through the hole in the middle. Didn’t have one good night of sleep. Can’t fault the place only for the actual apartment. Shower leaked through the the outside staircase too and had to get resealed while we were there. I heard the bungalows and cabins were great though! Wouldn’t put me off going again, but staying in a different living space.

Accommodation from Hell, AVOID.

The location was good and onsite dining was good value.

The accommodation was dreadful. A/C was broken for few days in 37° heat. Maintenance said they fixed it the first day and didn’t. Was torture at night. The toilet seat was broken, had to call reception 6 times over 2 days to get it repaired. The lights kept tripping out leaving you shower and using bathroom in complete darkness. The walls are overdue a paint. So many insects everywhere including gecko’s in the shower. Staff at reception made you feel like you are nuisance when you tell them about faults. It’s the accommodation from hell,

Fabulous, a wonderful family holiday once again at Bella Italia <3

Everything was fabulous ... beds so comfy, apartment fully equipt, all conveniences and facilities you could ask for for the children. All staff lovely apart from one incident which you will see in the negative comment box (sorry about this but I feel it should be mentioned) The campsite is on the lake if you want to swap from pool to fresh water with a lovely lakeside walk into the scenic town of Peschierea, approx 20mins - just perfect :)

... Sadly just one issue which was connected to just one staff member on the day we were leaving. Georgia was her name, I experienced a completely unprovoked outburst of aggression from her for absolutely no reason except that I happened to be walking along behind her to collect my luggage from the luggage room. The verbal attack was completely out of the blue. Her work colleague said it was not the first time they had this issue with her. I would normally let this type of thing go but the encounter was quite upsetting & I feel worth mentioning for the sake of the reputation of Bella Italia. My 3rd time there. 20 years previously in 2003 with my daughter & also the past 2 years 2024 & 2025 when we introduced my grandchildren, the next generation to beautiful Bella Italia & Peschiera. Love this place & hope to be back. We wont let Georgia spoil it for us but just a word of warning.

NIGHTMARE

Absolutely nothing!!!! Only pressure in the shower was good ( but we was afraid that shower doors will fall apart.

For start, wristband ( seriously we are adults, we don't need to be marked like on cattle mart, sticker on the car....really...it was a shame going around with this crap on our car, 100€ deposit on arrival..we are adults no kids and what u can even damage there when all was falling apart already, it was supposed to be a bbq there.....and sure was after us getting one in supermarket ( we didn't left it behind....sorry we gived away to other people) We left the place more clean than we got it, no kettle, we was making cup a tea in big souspen, Chair in the kitchen broken, my list is much mire longer...but honestly if u give us free stay for lifetime....I wouldn't stay even for 5 mins. Town is amazing, food spectacular but this camp....is not worth even €1 per night. And that sad coz could be a nice place if someone take real care of it. We never been more disappointed. Never again We travel a lot...but God we will remember this crap for life.

Overall, it was a lovely stay in a very well maintained and secured site for a great value for money

Great camp site for families, has caffes, restaurants and shops, a selection of swimming pools. The site located right on the lake Garda with a nice walk to Peschiera del Garda.

The que in reception took ages, no one was rushing. We arrived at 8pm, and waited an hour just to get to the desk to find out that there was no accommodation left for us (we had booked it in advance via Booking,com). Thankfully, the reception staff was very kind and did they best to find another accommodation for us which was on higher grade and more expensive, but it was offered within the same price as we booked initially.

The apartment was perfect for a short term and long term stay. We loved the square and the security.

The location of our apartment was ideal for a quick walk to the lake. We were situated near the "square" that had live music some nights, stores and resturants (including to go place) which made it feel like being in a small city. The room had all the needed utensils for a long term stay (pans, pots, glasses, etc.).

Some of the packaged blankets had a certain stale smell to them (two out out of four). The doors couldn't be closed properly unless slammed (inconvenience for late hours).

A good range of facilities, all close to our bungalow. The location of the bungalow was excellent with easy access to the pool. Regular change of bed linen and towels. The welcome pack was very good.

Lack of evening activities suitable for teenagers. Alot of debri in the pool over a number of days.

Worst possible! Still waiting for a refund after our complaint!

Worst possible. The accommodation was not at all as described. Run-down and shabby with visible mold, grease on kitchen cabinet doors, non-functioning refrigerator, stains on sheets, dirty patio, non-functioning AC, and non-functioning lamps. Overall, it was a terrible experience.

we stayed in a bungalow picked up a bug first night from bathroom as not clean - no wi fi - not enough sockets - uncomfortable sofa bed if u would call it that and no space for it due to dinner table no cleaning products and just simply will never stay again

Swimming pools are great

When we arrived there was about 150 people to check in and out and 5 receptionist working 1 hr or more waiting to check in. I left my belongings in my chair at swimming pool when we came back was someone else in my chair and my belongings was with lifeguards I have asked what was going on they radio their boss all in Italian and said this is the procedure so I had to seat on the floor me and my family. Be prepared to be published if you decide to leave early !!!! I went to check out at the evening as we would leave 5am and they do not work 24hr reception. I was informed that I had to pay extra 30 euros for the cleaning as I was leaving out of hours. Also they said the gate was closed between early hours and I had to park my car outside to leave early that's what I did. We had to walk 200 metres or more in the morning on the rain with luggages to get to the car and guess what? Gate was open I asked security they said by law they couldn't keep the gate close.

to much People for 3 Swimmingpool, and a smaller part of the lake. 18:30 is too early to cloth swimmingpool, even if is not the high season. At least 20:00 hours. A relax time, while the children goes to show time. The table from outside was broken, curtains to dark. More signals for a good parking in every apartment, because a lot of cars were to close and was imposible to drive by the street to go out form the house.

Incredible value, we will be back!

This campsite is incredible value, it cost us 90€ for 3 nights in a 1 bedroom apartment, so 15€pppn! The apartment was basic but clean and the shower was fantastic, so you couldn’t ask for more at the price we paid! It is a 30 minute walk from the train station and is on the outskirts of the town but once you are checked in you can leave and enter the campsite via the promenade along the lakeside which makes it quicker to get into town and gives the most stunning views! Staff were very friendly on check in and check out. The campsite is big but without feeling overwhelming and there are so many amenities - multiple restaurants and pool areas, sports facilities, shops, bike rental etc. We stayed in March in the first week of the season when it was very quiet yet we felt very safe walking around at night. We will visit later in the season next time to make full use of the amenities.

The pools weren’t open for our trip, they open on 1st April, which I don’t believe was communicated to us when we booked or prior to our stay. This is a shame as it was one of the main reasons we chose this accommodation, but at 90€ for 3 nights we’re hardly in a position to complain and that probably explains why it was so cheap. Bed linen and towels were not included. For a double bed it was 11€ and 4€ per set of towels, so not a big deal at all and this can be paid for with card. You also have to pay a refundable damage deposit of 100€ in cash in order to check in (they don’t take card for this). We didn’t realise this until we were already in Italy so we had to suffer awful exchange rates withdrawing more cash out, so make sure to bring enough cash from home. Both of these additional costs were explained on the Booking.com website but not in the property description - it was hidden away in the ‘important information’ section further down the page which is very easy to miss (as we did), so i would suggest making this more obvious before/during booking via Booking.com

A central location along the beach, there is a supermarket and cafes and useful shops, pool facilities and a counter inside the club

During our stay of five days, neither sheets nor towels were changed for us, only after a motivational talk on the last day of our stay, towels were changed, There is no cleaning of the lawns and it seems that the club is hibernating. There is no wifi in the rooms. The pictures convey that there is a pool on site, but when we arrived the pool was closed for the entire stay.
