The location was tremendous. The food was superb. The staff were generally helpful and engaging. There was a small amount of arrogance but overall excellent.

The shower tended to soak the entire bathroom floor.i think its a bit of a design flaw, but a very minor issue

Beautifully located, elegant hotel. The staff were excellent, at the top of their game - welcoming, knowledgeable & helpful. The reception rooms were stunning & the terrace just perfect. Loved the spa, particularly the salt water swimming pool with views of the beach.

The bedroom was very small for the price paid & shower room cramped. I suppose that's the offset for staying in a historic building.

Its location right on the beautiful beach and proximity to the town centre. The two concierges were on it! Most of the staff were well trained, polite and efficient - but one could sense there was an air of frustration throughout their demeanour.

Although we were told the hotel has had a recent makeover - and the outside indeed looked very elegant - a lot of the finer points in our junior suite had been overlooked! For example the WiFi was very intermittent meaning we weren’t able to use our bedside phone to call for room service or even to the reception - dangerous in an emergency. To charge our mobile phones overnight the light switch had to be on! Non-sensical. The size of our WC and bathroom were so small for a junior suite and not at all good value for what we expected. Breakfast and its layout was a shambles. A real pity as the hotel has obviously gone to great expense in upgrading - but someone needs to get hold of it and give it the 5 stars its location and building deserve.
