Colson House

My boyfriend and I stayed here for the night and had a great stay! The bed was very comfy, and the tea/coffee making facilities were great, plus handy having water and wine glasses. Was also a nice addition to have the fridge. The location of Colson's House was perfect - very close to the seafront and pier, and also some nice restaurants too.

I felt that the parking was a very misleading; it says you can reserve parking if you give 24 hours notice for £10, but this does not guarantee parking at all. You can request a permit for £12.50 for 24 hours, but when I asked if it would give you a guaranteed space, I didn't get a response to that question. I was however given very clear instructions and directions as to where to park near to the accommodation down two different roads/areas, which was £9.10 for 11 hours, but you could stay there for longer so we paid £13.20 for 26 hours which was actually very reasonable! Make sure you ask where is best to park as there are two options near by - there is however no guarantee you'll get a space. Also make sure you get the app 'PayByPhone' before you arrive, as the machines near where we parked didn't work. The shower wasn't particularly powerful but fine for one night's stay. We noticed the carpet by the table and chairs was damp when we arrived... but couldn't figure out where that had come from. Unfortunately our room was right by the front door, so when people were arriving and leaving it was quite loud, and again when they went up the stairs to the room above us, but was manageable.

The locarion was great, facilities great, lots of coffee making items, the mini fridge was a nive suprise, the balcony was great to people watch and plenty of furiture. It was relatively quiet.

Nothing

It’s in a great location, on the quieter end of the beach so perfect for couples and families. You can easily get to the beach and it is not a far walk from the station although very hilly. The facilities are great. I really like that added extra of having a fan especially in the heat there is a coffee and tea making facilities with everything you would need a fridge and a television which is really helpful. Everything was clean and tidy and just exactly what you need. Check in was easy, and communication from the team was great!

The only this was I forgot my toothpaste and I couldn’t get any. But probably my fault.

Close to the beach and Bistros

I did not know that I need to Check my Email the day I arrived. Standing in front the door and try to get a Connection is not what I Like.
