Maon Hotel

Very clean, good breakfast, location OK., welcoming. Room was a little dingy and in need of some updating, and TV reception wasn't good, but fine for two nights.

Friendly staff and breakfast included. The full English was amazing ! Felt homely. Easy to find.

It was warm, could of done with a fan.

Nothing at all

Location was good, and cooked breakfast was also of a good quality. The landlady ( who never introduced herself) was pleasant and served breakfast efficiently. There was a fan.It was quiet at the time of our stay with considerate guests.

The building felt very tired- decoration was old fashioned, particularly in the bedroom. The carpets were dirty and the shared bathrooms basic. Our ensuite bathroom had a bad odour - we bought an air freshener to help with that. The shower was inefficient - low water pressure and no temperature control. We had only one bath towel each, no hand towel. Toiletries were tiny sample size - not enough for our stay. The bed was large and cumbersome with not enough room to move around it. I have sustained significant bruises ( 3) on my thighs. Very painful! The sash windows were single glazed and noisy with the sashes not working ( but at least they opened. The fridge was a can fridge - temperature was too high for milk. Breakfast was only for one hour 8-9am - the accommodation was full and there weren't enough tables- people had to wait. Yogurt was Lidle cheap fruit yogurt. The croissants were nice though! Tables were too small for the huge amount of crockery on them. We couldn't check in after 7pm and had to check out at 10.
