Apartments Lisinski - FREE parking

Good spot for 1 night around Zagreb. Approximately 20 minutes walk to the centre. Good spot to park the car. Responsive landlord. Television with Netflix was nice. The terrace is a definite plus :-) Good price/quality ratio.

The shower needs a new head. The fridge is noisy. The velux window needs to be repaired. Better blinds for the window would be great too. I slept well but it would have been better without having light at 5-6 am. It was not a big deal. Our stay was fine. I am only trying to be perfectly honest.

Booking was simple. Communications with owners nice and efficient. Quick respinse and veyr clear instructions. Pivate parking. We booked concert at Lisinski concert hall. Accommodation was just 5 min away ie. acrross the street.

Everything was perfect.

Self check in was easy, apartment felt safe, bed was comfortable and WiFi worked well.

Location isn’t great, it’s at least a 25 minute walk to the lower centre of Zagreb eg the cathedral. There is private parking but it is €10 a day which feels extremely expensive. We actually returned our hire car early to avoid having to pay this. Also, as soon as you book this apartment, you receive a message highlighting potential ‘fines’ you will receive if you don’t wash up, don’t take the bin out, leave the furniture in any way that it’s not found. We found this quite intimidating and off-putting, and it made our stay less enjoyable as we were always thinking about ‘what if’. In the bathroom, there was black mould and mould spores all over the ceiling which is not nice to see while showering and is dirty and unhealthy. Similarly, the bedroom had lots of cobwebs in the ceiling, especially near the air-conditioning unit which also feels unhealthy as the air-con will be pulling in dusty dirty air from this area. I have attached pictures of the mould and cobwebs/dust. The shower leaks and floods all over the floor and there is only one very small bath mat which constantly felt wet and dirty, like it hadn’t been washed. We also ran out of toilet roll and even though the host provided us with more, we shouldn’t have run out and had to ask for more in the first place. Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t stay again, but I guess for only staying a couple of days it was just about ok…
