I stayed at Guest House Aoi Nakamot while participating in a conference at RIMS of Kyoto University. The location was perfect. Nakamoto-San takes excellent care of his guesthouse and his guests. He was very forthcoming and helpful throughout, for example when I needed help with the Takkyubin suitcase mailing system. It was my first time staying in a classic tatami room and I highly recommend the experience!

Very nice, quiet and well located, the host is super accommodating and friendly. I stayed in a single room and it was so calm and quiet I rested super well. I came in the winter, which is pretty cold in Kyoto, and the room and the whole place was nice and warm. There’s a kitchen with a fridge a microwave and kettle and a table to eat. It has a nice bathroom with a japanese style bathtub and two other rest rooms. I will definitely come back next time I’m visiting, totally recommend! :)
