    Hotel was almost empty, which was odd as it was a cherry blossom season in Kyoto. Some facilities were closed for renovation. Room was nice and big for Japan, so fit us well. Room was expensive but that seems ro be Japan high season market.

    This hotel is located at a walking distance to many attractive places, such as Tetsugakuno michi, Heianjingu, Kyoto city zoo, etc. There is a grocery store and 100yen shop just across the street as well. The room is newly renovated and very clean and spacious.

    I stayed during their renewal of one wing. Unfortunately that meant the bath house was closed, so their beautiful public bath wasn't available. That was a big hit, as it is part of the value. But otherwise, it is a place with some old bubble era glory, but now just an average decent place to stay. If you're visiting eastern Kyoto it could be convenient, but it's not walkable to much except Heian Shrine
