A place not to be missed

This is an amazing place. One of most well kept places in the region. Charm and luxury combined. Rooms are very comfortable. Amenities are exactly what we needed. View around is the gorgeous typical Scottish country side. Restaurant with delicate delicious dishes.

Wonderful stay

A wonderful setting, staff were perfect, couteous, attentive but not intrusive. Hotel had so much charm and really took us to a different place. Food was first rate

Decor and ambience

No wi-fi in room. Tiny shower cubicle. Booked dinner but no vegetarian option so cancelled. When checking out receptionist stated that there was wi-fi in the room and that had we wanted vegetarian option we could have asked. Young staff were untrained in service.

Rude staff, poor kitchen hygiene causing illness.

The bed was comfortable.

Do not stay here. This was the worst experience I have ever had a hotel. Both my husband and I got food poisoning after eating at Kinloch, and when I notified the staff the owner/manager yelled at me in front of other guests, pointed her finger and banished us from the dining room and other public spaces. No one checked on us, no one apologised, I was humiliated and shocked at their behaviour. They even admitted to having had a problem with patrons getting ill in the past. I tried to speak with them upon check out but they were unsympathetic and booking.com didn’t help either, so I felt compelled to leave an honest review.

beautiful and very comfortable country house with views over open countryside to hills in the distance. staff very professional well trained and friendly. really nicely furnished lounge and bar area. room was huge

Enjoyable and memorable.

The walled garden at the rear was excellent and special. The bedroom was extremely comfortable. The lounges, library and adjoining rooms were outstandingly well furnished. Finally, the views from in front of the hotel were magnificent.

My main course at dinner was very disappointing - the beef.

Lovely start to a fortnight travelling through Scotland.

Breakfast was well presented and tasty. The location was fine and the views lovely. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the public rooms welcoming. Dinner was well cooked and served with a good choice of wines.

The fan in the bathroom was noisy and the bathroom would have benefitted from a light that could have been switched on independently of the fan so use in the night did not wake the other occupant of the room or other rooms.

Exceptional hotel with outstanding service

This was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Largely due to the exceptional service we got from Paul. He was so attentive, and very helpful with my dietary requirements. This was a last minute stay due to the power cuts in the area and not being able to get to our destination place. So pleased we stayed here. The lounge area by the fire was gorgeous and the 3 course dinner was also exceptional. Really gorgeous food and wonderful service. Paul even made me my favourite cocktail. We loved the room as well, it was huge with an amazing view and lovely bathroom. Felt completely at home and very welcomed here. Will definitely go back.
