Your home away from home

We were very happy with our stay at this villa! The location is perfect, close to beautiful beaches, restaurants, and supermarkets. We really enjoyed spending time around the pool in the garden, and the view from the upstairs terrace is wonderful. The villa itself has everything you need, and Nikos is a fantastic host, kind, welcoming and gave us great recommendations for places to visit. We had a wonderful time and will surely return!

Best value for money you can imagine!

The house is really spacious, well-equipped, modern. The views are breathtaking. The garden and the pool area are beautiful. The should rather have a car, but the location is really good - just between Chania and the most famous beaches of western Crete. I sincerly recommend this house - really good value for money! Would love to be back!

Beautiful modern villa in lovely setting with great hosts.

it felt like a palace, beautifully presented with very spacious rooms and wonderful views of mountains and coast from all rooms. There were multiple outside seating/ dining areas including shaded bbq area next to the pool and a vast rooftop terrace. The pool was large and well maintained as was the garden and all outside areas were private and secluded. The kitchen was very well equipped for self catering. the owners could not have been more welcoming and helpful, leaving a substantial welcome pack including home made honey, cakes, raki and wine. They were incredibly responsive, addressing a very minor query we had straight away ( even though the owner was in hospital after an accident his father in law stepped in).

There is a busy road nearby which you can sometimes hear depending on wind direction/weather but it did not bother us. it was also not detectable from the sun lounging area in the garden.

Warm reception, extremaly friendly and helpful host, responsive 24/7, flexible check-in/out hours, villa in perfect shape, very well equipped and maintained, nice location , approx. 1 hr drive from the Chania airport. Cleaning service, towel and bed change in 4 days. Highly recommended spot for familys or friends (comfortable up to 8 people). Bikes for rent nearby and lots of places to go. What else should you need ...? Five star service, many thanks Nikos ! As one week was not enough , will definitely come again !!!--

Lovely holiday for children and parents!

Lovely house and amazing pool. The washing machine was very handy. We couldn’t have asked for a better location with children- we didn’t have to travel too far to get to places, winery, beach, taverns/restaurants close by by car. Just over 1 hour to get to the famous Elafonissi beach. Toiletries were provided - soap, shampoo/shower gel, conditioner and body lotion which was a lovely touch.

We were a group of 2 families with children. The apartment/annexe is cut off from the main house so we didn’t use it - This would be good for a couple or grandparents. Therefore we had to use the sofa bed in the main living area which is not the most ideal.

Best experience in Crete

Very nice and new structure, inside and out. We really enjoyed the days spent. Kitchen, bathroom and sleeping rooms fully equipped. Niko was a very pleasant host, provided everything we needed, including some tips for tours, restaurants and markets nearby. We would definitely like to come back.

Although location is good, still 50-60min driving to reach the best beaches in the island. Needs to improve wi-fi connexion.

Most beautiful villa

Villa Dimokratia is the most beautiful villa, owned by a wonderful family. I have so much to say I will break it down! Arrival We arrived around midday after an early flight from the uk with a friend and our 1 year old, we were an hour early but they were on hand straight away and ready for us. We were warmly greeted with local honey, a home made cake, wine and raki! The villa The villa is huge, spotlessly clean (and cleaned halfway through our 10 night stay....it looked like new!), absolutely beautiful, peaceful and has everything there that you could ever wish for. Tomatoes, apples, lemons and herbs all growing in the garden that you are welcome to help yourself to. The garden is stunning with a nice big pool. It’s fully equipped with an outside bar area with bbq, fridge and a sink. Inside the villa has absolutely everything that you need. All the rooms are spacious and the views from every window are breath taking. All bedrooms are lovely and a great size. Nice comfy beds and smart TVs. Plenty of wardrobes/drawers etc. Plenty of towels supplied and even bathrobes! Area Kolymvari is a beautiful little fishing village. It feels like Crete’s best kept secret. Lots of lovely restaurants along the sea front and a few little shops. The drive from the villa only takes a couple of minutes. There is another little village up the road called Spilia, with a couple of nice restaurants too. You can also get takeaway which is nice. Overall it was the most perfect holiday and we cannot wait to go back. Nikos and his family are lovely and they can’t do enough for you, the villa was perfect as was the area.

Villa była doskonała dla naszej grupy. Byliśmy w 9 osób i nikt nikomu nie przeszkadzał, bo mieliśmy wystarczająco dużo przestrzeni dla każdego. Lokalizacja dla nas idealna bo mieliśmy auto-co polecam na Krecie. Villa bardzo czysta, piękny ogród z basenem, wszystko co potrzebne było przygotowane dla nas perfekcyjnie. Prezenty były niezwykle miłe i pyszne. Kontkat z właścicielami bardzo dobry i sympatyczny. Nikos-bardzo dziękujemy za tak wygodny i piękny pobyt w Twoim domu. Napewno wyślemy tam naszych znajomych, a może kiedyś sami wrócimy;) Polecam każdemu.
