Hyatt House Washington DC/The Wharf

The location was excellent, close to restaurants and the National Mall. The hotel was very clean, staff were very friendly and responsive.

all was great except for some reason our plugs in the room didn't appear to be charging our devices a norma rate It was extremely slow and we took our cords to a friends hotel and they charged rapidly.

staff could have been more knowledgeable about the events happening for the 4th celebration and we were quite disappointed to find out the night before we left that The Wharf had a shuttle that went to the National Mall and other locations after we paid tons of money to Uber around. That should have been something the the staff informed us of upon check in!!!!!

Clean room and breakfast.

Bookings misrepresented the room in its advertisement and description. I paid for a river view room and it was not a river view. The bed was not very comfortable.

Location, location, location! It was directly on the wharf and so close to the attractions! Lovely view of the water as well!

THAT. BATHROOM. DOOR! That door was so janky. It was a slide-able slab (can’t even call it a barnyard door) that when you try to close and then lock the door, the door gapped open on the other side where you can see the room from the bathroom, effectively making the slab null! THEN! If you didn’t lock the slab, it would just magically slide open, exposing you to the bedroom while you’re on the loo. Not. Cool! The room was also tiiiiiiny. The tv was directly at the foot of the bed with little room to move around otherwise, thus making the bathroom door issue even more of an issue. Having stayed in other locations on the wharf that were also on the smaller side, the room was not up to snuff comparatively. It did the trick, but i doubt I’d stay here again of my own free will
