    We were awakened by a false fire alarm at 8am the day we were to depart. No apologies when we checked out - sad. We had dinner at the lounge, lovely waitress but very slow to tend to our needs and prices were ridiculously high. The room was nice but dated.

    Here's a more enthusiastic, review-style version: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We stayed at the Salamander DC for the weekend of the 250th celebration and couldn't have chosen a better location. Being within walking distance of the National Mall made sightseeing incredibly convenient, and the beautiful nightlife along the pier was an added bonus. The food and drinks were outstanding, and the manager was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Every staff member we encountered was helpful, professional, and genuinely committed to making our stay memorable. Their hospitality made us wish we could have stayed even longer. The combination of excellent service, great dining, and a perfect location made this an unforgettable experience. We will absolutely stay at the Salamander every time we visit Washington, DC. Highly recommended!

    1. The staff took a very long time to help with our luggage, which set a bad tone from the start. 2. Our room was never cleaned during the stay, which is unacceptable for any hotel standard. 3. There was even an accident in the room when the floor lamp fell onto my foot it was very fortunate it didn’t fall on my baby. This shows a serious lack of safety checks. 4. At the restaurant, the staff kept asking me the same question about my coffee order, which was frustrating and unprofessional. Overall, I expected much better service and safety. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel
