Overall this hotel was a great choice, and I can understand why it is always booked!

I enjoyed the location as my daughter is a current student with CSU Monterey Bay. Upon my arrival, the staff was very friendly and engaged in conversation. The location was clean, the free breakfast was delicious and my children loved the outdoor fire pit!

I didnt like the limited seating for the breakfast in the morning. Also, I wish it was extended a little longer to reduce the congestion we experienced.

Overall it was pleasant. The room was comfortable and I could not hear any noise.

There were half drunk bottles of water in fridge. There was a Marriott courtyard card left on the floor of the room. There was a wet floor in the elevator.

Definetely not a 4 star! Super expensive and not up to standard.

Room was modern and relatively spacious. However - bathroom did not have enough room for towels and no closet space.

Staff unhelpful - our room was close to outside vents so turned out to be very noise during the night. When reported - the response was not sympathetic at all (we were told ‘Sorry. We have to rent the room’) and no offer to remedy the problem! Despite advance notice - additional bed was not prepared on arrival. When reported - we were told that we had to do this. Breakfast poor - only between 6:00-9:00, and insufficient food already at 8:15. Quality of food poor (rotten fruit in fruit salad etc). Paper plates and cutlery also let it down.

It was quiet

Advertised as 3 blocks from the beach. It’s nowhere near and there is no view. Also staff turned off all fire pits at 10 pm while many guests were sitting out there!

Pleasant, convenient stay.

The breakfast options were tasty and plentiful. Staff was accommodating. Room was comfortable. Convenient location for Monterey Bay and Santa Cruz events.

Stated 5 nights - would have liked more housekeeping service but maybe policy was “as requested” and we didn’t request it.

Ok for an overnight stay where you don't need much.

The room was modern and spacious. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Bathroom was small for two people to negotiate. It had just a small mirror above the sink, and no full length mirror anywhere in the room. I am a petite woman and could hardly see myself in the small bathroom mirror which was too high! They could have extend the mirror across the vanity. As it was, we had to take turns with the mirror.

Fantastic spot to stay outside Monterey

The complimentary breakfast was definitely the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. The rooms were very stylish and functional. It was also helpful having a mini convenience store in-house. Free parking always a plus.

Only complaints are that the mattresses weren't very comfortable and the pillows were a bit too small. If I'm being super critical, the shower seemed to be set up backwards with the faucet opposite the controls.

Very pleasant stay for a night. Will definitely go back next time I need to go to Cal State again.

Quiet location, Double room is very roomy and clean. It also included a work desk, great for business use. I came here to take exam at Cal State and this hotel is less than 5 mins from it! Perfect location if you need to visit Cal State. Room also included breakfast with good choices and good quality.

Not a perfect location if you plan to visit Monterey. It's not close to downtown, roughly ~15 mins drive. The location is remote and not close to any big plaza.

Love da staff an how prompt all of my request was taken care of , I was there for hospital visit , a sad time to be in Monterey. But your area of hospitality made it very easy to cope with my situation, especially that I was alone . Thank you again , will be returning for da funeral an will ask for your help again , much ❤️
