Old Ivy Walk

Phil was a fantastic host, breakfast was delicious, the grounds and home are lovely and so close you can walk or bikeride to everything in town.

we loved it all!

The location is perfect for Niagara-on-the-Lake. One can walk to all the restaurants and theaters. Our room on the first floor was weird -- shower enclosed in see-through glass on one side of the room that required all the window curtains to stay down as one was showering and dressing. There was no privacy taking a shower from anyone else in the room. Also, no directions on how to use the double shower -- it was trial and error. Breakfast was delivered to the room and the menu was decided by the owners, with no choice. I brought my own gluten and dairy-free food. Breakfast was only fair for those who ate the delivered breakfast. Finally, shoes weren't allowed in the rooms and had to be left outside in the hall to save the floors. An OK thing, but guests should have been warned so we could have brought indoor slippers. Or the owners could have provided cheap slippers to wear inside the room as ir was not all carpeted.

See above. Breakfast could have been better and allowed for some choices. Provide cheap slippers to wear in the rooms. Warn the guests assigned to rooms with the showers open to everyone in the room so they are prepared. And towels --particularly the bath towers -- should have been larger and thicker. At least for the price we paid.

Breakfast was excellent. Couldn’t ask for a better location we lunched at the golf course which was a few blocks to the water. The main shopping area was just a couple blocks in the opposite direction. A lovely courtyard and a nice gazebo area to share a glass of wine. The host was a very personable and gracious man

In our opinion nothing. Even the weather cooperated. On site parking is a nice bonus
