1801 First Luxury Inn

Love Love Love Laura, her energy, her personality! She was a joy...The home was very nice, needs some upgrading though but overall very cozy. The chef was amazing!!! Food was delicious and never disappointed. Very convenient to everything.

Needs some updating on the carpets and bathrooms; starting to show a lot of wear. Even though it is an older house, it really needs to upgrade those items.

There was so much to like about this property. The location is great since it's only 2 blocks to town. There's plenty of free parking. The breakfasts were really delicious. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The owner was friendly and welcoming. Our only issue was with the woman who was in charge at breakfast. To be honest, she was very friendly one minute and the next, quite snippy. This occurred more than once when we politely asked pretty simple questions (the first time we were the only guests in the dining room). I read another review which mentioned this same complaint. I hope it's addressed since it did make us feel uncomfortable and unable to ask a question. Other than this, we really enjoyed our stay here.

Clean, walking distance to town, good breakfast, easy shipping of wine

Was a really awesome location in Downtown Napa. Room sizes were quite large and beds were comfortable!

Our room was very close to the breakfast service and unfortunately the innkeeper’s heels were quite loud walking around so it woke us up on multiple mornings. The biggest thing which impacted our stay is that there is too much pressure put on breakfast coordination and filling out the form for breakfast. The woman who organizes breakfast was quite confrontational and rude to us because we did not fill out our breakfast form and did not want breakfast. She made us feel uncomfortable and made snippy comments that were rude towards us, over BREAKFAST! It was just a bit much, I think being more casual and flexible could go a long way for them and their guests experience.
