Prestigious and spacious apartment in the heart of Florence in a Renaissance palace overlooking the splendid Piazza del Carmine. Located in one of the most authentic and quiet areas of the city, it can accommodate up to 7 guests. Precious floors and furniture, as well as refined furnishings and extended spaces create a perfect and welcoming setting, an ideal place from which to enjoy the beauties of the city.

The house consists of 4 bedrooms (3 double and one single), two complete bathrooms (one with shower and one with tub and shower), a fully equipped kitchen and a large room with comfortable sofas and TV. A classic and high-class house that enjoys numerous comforts such as air conditioning, internet access with Wi-Fi and independent heating. Ideal for groups of friends and very large families.

I stayed for 12 nights with 2 other adults and 3 children.The place is comfortable, roomy and everything works. The location is wonderful. It is in a less crowded area than many but close enough to walk everywhere. There are restaurants and a grocery store steps away. The furnishings are not luxurious, but comfortable, clean and there is room for everyone. One bed (single room) had a mattress that was super hard and not so comfy. That would be my only complaint and some may like it.The air conditioning worked very well.We loved it!

Quiet, but convenient location - 15-20m walk to everywhere, including train station. Very large apt with plenty of space for 7 of us. Additional lighting in entryway off street would be helpful when entering apt in evening. Would definitely recommend!

This is a great apartment with plenty of space for a group. It's on the opposite side of the river from the major attractions in Florence but this should not keep you from staying here. Florence is a very walkable city; staying here gives you the chance to walk off the wonderful food you'll discover (most attractions are less than a 30 minute walk from the apartment). There are plenty of dining options in the area and I'd highly recommend Il Vespro, which is right down the street. We didn't realize it until the day we left, but there is a small grocery story literally around the corner from the apartment. Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens are a short walk away as well.Communication with the host and check-in were incredibly easy and there's a luggage storage facility nearby should you require it.

There were 7 adults and the apartment provided space so that at the end of a long day of walking we could all find a spot to relax and reflect. The description of the apartment is 100% accurate and checking in was a breeze. We had a grocery store just around the corner and restaurants within 2 blocks.

I agree with the other reviews. This is a great apartment in a great location with everything you could want within walking distance. We had a minor issue with the check-in process but I still definitely recommend this apartment. Also, for anyone planning to stay in September, be aware of the Florence Jazz Festival. It was located right across the street in the Piazza del Carmine the weekend we were there!

The place is beautiful and very walkable to many restaurants and sights. It can get a little noisy at times, but that is just being in the city center. The air conditioning in the main bedroom didn’t work, but it was cool enough for the most part that it didn’t affect our stay. All in all it was a wonderful place with plenty of room for our group of seven. It had everything you would need for an extended stay! If I was ever back in the area, I would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at Petra Elegant. The location was perfect close to restaurants, shopping, the Ponte Vecchio and many of the beautiful sites Florence has to offer. The apartment was well taken care of clean and very comfortable for the six of us.

Wonderful, spacious property, full of character, giving us plenty of room for our party of 7. The location is fantastic, in a vibrant but not overly busy local neighbourhood with plenty of nearby bars and restaurants. It is also a short walk over a bridge to the busy centre of Florence, so therefore it’s also a comfortable place to get back to quickly when you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Would definitely stay there again.

I can’t say enough good things about this property. It is huge and really lovely. The ceilings are so high you feel like you’re staying at a palace. The floor plan is open to accommodate groups comfortably but also gives enough areas to hide away when you need a break. We would definitely stay here again.

Our family of 6 really enjoyed our stay at Petra Elegant in Florence. The location was perfect for us and there was lots of room for everyone. The kids especially loved the entrance to the building…. It is a bit like a castle! We had everything we needed to enjoy our 3 day stay. A couple small maintenance issues with the shower in the second bathroom but nothing serious. We would definitely stay here again. There are really good restaurants just a few steps away and a grocery right around the corner. We walked to all the Florence attractions. The church and piazza del Carmine are lovely, don’t miss the church as it is just outside your door.

Perfect for our family of six. The apartment was extremely comfortable and beautiful and in a great location. The kitchen was great, we cooked our own Christmas dinner. Overall it met and exceeded our expectations. The Christmas decorations were very much appreciated !!

Petra Elegant made us all so happy. We had a fantastic location , space for the five of us, light and views from every window, air conditioning, and a full kitchen. Two bathrooms , washing machine, large dining room, and luxurious space to spread out in. One of our favorite thrills was being on the Square, and hearing the bells from the chapel. The apartment itself (layout, comfort, spaciousness, location) is a definite 5 out of 5. Easy walking access to all of Florence's wonders while avoiding the throngs of tourists. Having lived in Florence, I can honestly say that Oltrarno (San Frediano, Santo Spirito) is the ideal spot to stay for your holiday. 4 incredible pizzerias within a 5 minute walk of the apartment as well of a slew of the best restaurants in Florence south of the Arno river. The only suggestion I would make for the apartment is to include more essentials. There is a dishwasher but no dishwasher tabs or liquid. We had to purchase a 15 pack of tabs for a 5 day stay. Most places will include at least 1-2 tabs. We had no tea towels, paper towels or napkins. There is an oven but no tea towels or oven mits or tongs. We had to use our bath towels to remove a roast from the oven. Little details would have made a better overall impression. As mentioned, however, the apartment itself is quite wonderful as a whole. I would recommend it for a larger group.

Charming and comfortable. AC worked great! Loved opening the windows to get the fresh morning breeze , birds singing, and the church bells chiming while eating breakfast. Food market, restaurants and gelato close by. A retreat away from the busy city. Would definitely stay again.

This property had a lot of space and was located within walking distance to restaurants, gelaterias, bakeries, shopping, etc. We had one issue with the air conditioning which we were using at night. It's loud to leave the windows open, and the rooms to get warm even in October. Every 5 minutes there would be a banging sound coming from the wall of the air unit. We ended up having to not use the air, open windows, and deal with the noise. The host did tell me they were going to hire someone to fix this issue.

This was a comfortable spot in a convenient walking location. Every bedroom was used, as were the kitchen appliances, and dining table. We all would return! The host was accommodating and easy to communicate with, throughout our stay. The AC in one bedroom was a little loud for that occupant, and the keys took some time and jiggling to get doors open, but everyone appreciated HAVING AC, and loved the place. We would stay here again, and found it beautifully located within walking distance of coffee, breakfast, Culinaria (for dinner - highly recommend) and all the must-see sites in Firenze.

This is an outstanding property for visiting Florence. We have stayed in several locations and this is one of our favorites to explore from - quiet and good restaurants and short walk to Ponte Vecchio. The rooms were comfortable and good places to sit. Showers were good and AC worked well. Lots of space to have a larger group. Washer worked well. Check in was excellent and host was responsive. They have an outstanding guest book and recommendations. Only concern was that there was a loud intermittent buzzing noise near the AC unit in one bedroom. It made the room unusable to sleep in, fortunately we only needed three rooms. The host tried to get a maintenance person to come but they could not come in the short time we were there. In addition the WI-FI was spotty the first day - new setup, but settled out. Signal not strong in the living room but fine in dining area. I fully expect that the issues will be resolved and highly recommend staying here.

And such a great location, away from the touristy areas, but close enough to walk every day over the Ponte Vecchio! We were a group of 7 adults and found the accommodations were perfect. Edoardo was excellent in corresponding with us before our arrival. The location is excellent as there are numerous coffee shops, restaurants and grocery stores in the neighbourhood. The property is beside a church that must be visited even though the exterior is very unassuming. We crossed the bridge every day to visit many shops and stores on the other side of the Arno river. It was a good walk and a great way to start the day. We would recommend this property without hesitation.
