A hidden gem on the far side of the Island. From the moment we arrived, we felt instant relaxation.

There was not a breakfast at the facility, but a coffee shop. However, you could bring what you wanted and make anything and they had a great selection of items in their fridge. We used the kitchen to make Chili and hung out around the firepit and relaxed.

Overall this Resort was wonderful. The only think I would have done different is stay another night. It was easy to find by the maps as well, not as easy on google maps due to cell service.

Overly priced property. Not worth re-visiting or recommending anyone else

Quiet and peaceful with an ability to be close to water

Absolutely poor WiFi connection. They have Old generation Smart TV’s but they don’t work when WiFi connectivity is needed. Also only one bathroom for two bedroom facility with $500-600 daily charges doesn’t make a value outcome. Also room service doesn’t do used dishes and there is no dish washer.

Great secluded spot for a quiet getaway. Wonderful staff, amazing views (lots of wildlife: seals, otters, various birds), & great amenities.

Restful vacation spot from which to explore the NW

The completely heavenly surroundings and the well manicured grounds. The silence at night was wonderful. The stocked fire pits were a plus. I was impressed by the conservation efforts of the resort. The staff was friendly and easy going about a late check-in. The personal call to check on our arrival time was very nice.

The harbor front bedroom in the two bedroom suite #1 did not have a mirror.

Incredible Stay at Snug Harbor!

We loved our stay at Snug Harbor! The grounds were incredibly beautiful and peaceful, the cabins were well maintained, there were free kayaks to use, and there was a great coffee shop & gift shop on site that we used a number of times. San Juan Island in general was fantastic, and I couldn't image a better place to stay than Snug Harbor!

The staff is helpful and welcoming, the cabins are warm and comfy, the vibe is peaceful and the harbor is gorgeous.

Beautiful landscape and cabins, inside and out. The staff was very welcoming. The cabins are fully stocked with all dishes/pans and a bbq you’d need for cooking and dining. They also have movies and games available for free to bring up to your cabins and fire pits by the water. We went down to the cafe for a mocha and ate our breakfast on the deck over looking the harbor every morning. The birds sing all day, harbor seals float around the docks and the water sparkles. Snug Harbor Resort is an oasis, we’ll be back!

The parking is on a hill sideways which could be troubling for people with walking difficulties.

Bench by Window had wood trim piece held by short finishing nails. Fell off when toddler was getting off. Sharp nails sticking out. Would be more secure with wood glue plus screws. Shower handle fell off by itself while daughter was showering. Good that she was standing by the opposite wall, otherwise could hit a foot. Could use something like Loctite to hold the set screw.

Location, location, location! The San Juan Islands are beyond beautiful, and the Snug Harbor Resort is a great place for a home base while visiting. The views, the suites, the staff—all wonderful.

It was beautiful and quiet, cabin has everything you need and more, person at the front desk was very friendly.

- It took quite some time to get warm water in the bathroom sink. Not a problem but caused us to use more water than we wanted to given the request to conserve. -The bathroom was pretty small. -Couch was not comfortable.

Much needed quiet and relaxing family time.

Beautiful and serene location. Really enjoyed having a kitchen to cook in and comfortable space to relax with the family.

The only bummer was related to the gas barbecue on the deck, not the property itself. It had been put away dirty and couldn’t be started because of buildup.

Superb

The location and view were excellent. Very quiet. I had my daughter and 2 grandkids with me. What I rented was a bit small for the people that came with me. I would get a larger room place next time. This was a 1 bedroom 1 bath. The couch pulled out for a bed in the living room. The living room was right there with the kitchen, so it was a bit cramped with 2 small kids. This place would be perfect for just a couple.

I did not get an email telling me where to go to check in and get the door code.

This place is all about tranquility and beauty. Very relaxing. The cabins are cozy and perfect for a weekend getaway. Staff is nice and helpful, but not much help is needed. Just check in and check out (mentally)!

Not much to dislike. The furniture is a little tired (couch and bed). This whole side of the island is farm/residential, so there are no shops or restaurants nearby--But that's the whole point. Friday Harbor is just 15 min away anyway.

Nice private resort, perfect for a couple's getaway while on San Juan Island.

Overall a fantastic experience and we can't wait to come back again. The cabins were cute and had all the amenities we needed. We had a more private cabin back towards the road which had a great view of the harbor but with no other guests walking past - we were even visited by some deer one night! Plenty of activities for us to do at the resort in between our travels around San Juan Island, which were all a short drive from the resort. It was extremely peaceful to be able to sit on the water front and watch the sun set. Highly recommended for couples looking for a more private getaway in some first class cabins, away from the hustle and bustle of Friday Harbor. Will definitely be back in the future!

All of the lighters to get the fire pit going were empty (we had to use the one from our cabin). We were looking forward to kayaking together all week, but the two person kayaks aren't really suitable for two adults. The seats are adjustable, but the person on the front will still have their legs dangling over the edge. They are set up more for an adult and child. I mean not a big deal overall, but for a resort seemingly set up for couples, it would be good to have an actual 2 adult kayak like you would get from a kayak rental place.
