Located on San Juan Island’s west side, on peaceful Mitchell Bay, Snug Harbor Resort offers year-round waterfront accommodations.
All of our cabins and suites contain upscale rustic interiors, vaulted ceilings, full kitchens, and uninterrupted stunning views of Mitchell Bay. Snug Harbor’s incredible setting is unparalleled on San Juan Island and is perfectly located for adventures throughout the islands.
We strive to make each guest’s visit amazing and memorable. Once you arrive and explore the resort, you will discover the unique features, comforts, and amenities provided to each of our guests. We offer paddle boards, kayaks, canoes and bikes for complimentary use by our guests. Travelling by boat? We have a private marina where boaters can dock for their stay.
Our own Mitchell Bay Coffee Shop is open daily offering an array of coffee beverages, local pastries, waffles, soups, and more. We also keep our gift shop well stocked with local goods for your cooking needs as well as clothing and gifts for your friends and family.
Snug Harbor Resort is an ideal place to unwind and relax. While we have free wi-fi throughout the property and great cell phone reception, although there are no phones inside the cabins. Take time to relax by the water, build a fire, and allow the peace and serenity on Mitchell Bay to overtake you.
Outside enjoy your private deck, barbecue and the serenity of Mitchell Bay.
These cabins, nestled on a little hill above the waterfront cabins, still have full, uninterrupted views of Mitchell Bay, but offer a little more privacy. From the private 120 square foot decks with picnic tables and BBQ’s, guests often spot deer grazing on the grass.
Inside the 650 square-foot cabins, there are 12 foot vaulted ceilings with an expansive glass front giving lots of natural light. Living rooms are comfortably furnished with a cozy sleeper sofa, lounge chairs, flatscreen tv and blue ray. The gas fireplace and ceiling fan will help keep the temperatures just where you want them, summer and winter. Fully equipped kitchens include a built-in dining nook with seating up to six. One bedroom has a queen bed, while the other has two twins. Each cabin has a bathroom with a large tiled shower with pebble floors and full glass front.

What a pleasant surprise to be at a lovely location. The communication was excellent - as we arrived late. The instructions were clear. The layout of the resort is lovely, the cabins were well appointed, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay!

Jack and Clara are both 8 and cousins. We love to travel with our grandchildren and expose them to new places and experiences. This cabin was perfect for our San Juan Island excursion. It was cozy, cute, clean, and a beautiful view of the bay. Check-in was easy and the women in the office were sweet and so helpful! The coffee is great at the coffee shop and so fun to have bakery choices! We will return! I have recommended the cabins to my family members.

This is an amazing property, beautiful and serene, overlooking peaceful snug harbor! This resort is immersed in nature and the cabin we stayed in was perfect for our family of four. We'll definitely be back again!
