Nantucket Style with peak-a-boo water view.
This newly listed 2 bedroom (plus extra half- room w/ Queen bed), 2.5 bathroom house located close to Kanaka Bay is a perfect getaway to relax and rejuvenate on San Juan Island.
This charming house features a fully stocked kitchen, two outdoor decks and a 0.25-acre lawn. A gas BBQ is available to cook Westcott Bay oysters while watching the sunset from this west-facing house. Enjoy the lovely view with your morning cup of coffee and enjoy the view from the private primary bedroom porch.
The living room offers a simple and cozy arrangement to relax together after a day of exploring! An array of books is provided, or the comfortable seating is perfect to curl up as a family with a movie.
The layout of the two bedrooms upstairs makes it feel as though there are two primaries with separate bathrooms attached. This makes it ideal for two couples with a possible younger traveler as well. The top of the landing opens up to a small office area, and just past that is the half-room with a Queen bed. (Privacy offered with a curtain partition.) The primary Queen bedroom with en-suite bath is to your right, while the other primary King bedroom with en suite bath is to your left. Both offer beautiful views through the picture windows.
This home is perfectly situated down a very private road just a few miles from downtown Friday Harbor. The rest of this 1.5 acre property is covered with lush, naturally growing vegetation, which adds to the feeling of privacy. Bring your bikes to travel from the property out to the famous Westside Preserve and Lime Kiln Lighthouse, which is a great spot for a sunset cocktail with a chance of seeing some whales, porpoise, Harbor Seals, sea lions and bald eagles!!

We stayed for a week with friends who had never been to SJI. We had a great stay, it was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Thanks for hosting us.

We had a wonderful stay here! The house was impeccably clean and comfortable, and the area was private and quiet. While the yard looks quite a bit bigger in the listing photos than it actually is, there was still plenty of space for my daughter to run around. There was some pretty serious roadwork being done so it took a little longer to get to/from Friday Harbor, but without that it would have been a quick drive. We didn't need to contact the property manager, but they proactively contacted us to let us know we could check-in early. You can tell they pay attention to detail, as they even supplied two propane tanks for the grill. I would stay here again and highly recommend that you do as well!

We had a nice stay with family, as it’s always good to be with family. The property was cute and quiet towards the end of a very long (couple mile) dirt road.I’ve never left a drab review for a vacation stay as I’ve been in real estate for 30 years and understand that homes come with unique characteristics. But this property was a bit pricey with a 500 host fee so I felt that it should have been a bit nicer. The property listing featured a king bed. However the king bed was not a king, but two twins pushed together, and our feet hung off the end which made for less than comfortable rest.The fan for the stove didn’t work so when we cooked we’d have to open doors to air out the home, which invited mosquitoes to join in. ;) Many of the blinds don’t function properly so when trying to open windows, it is a bit of a complexity that required two people.Then there was a note on the refrigerator and large bottles of water offered on the counter as hosts shared there was a problem with the water system/drinking water, which made us worried about the safety of the water. I feel if we would have known prior, we would have opted for another home.Also, prior to our stay, we reached out about the ability for a late check out since we were attending an evening wedding, The host offered no response. We went ahead and booked, and after our booking the 1 hour late departure was declined.We enjoyed our stay on Friday Harbor but would have chosen a different property to rent.
