Excellent small tropical resort close to nightlife

Normally, I wouldn't give someplace all tens, but Calypso is the exception! It's one of a kind. Wes, the owner, provides personalized service - taking you around the resort and explaining everything. It's a real Florida tropical setting with an island vibe. It's a short walk to the nightlife. The other guests are friendly, and I enjoyed visiting with them over breakfast. The rooms are spacious and immaculate. Beds are very comfy. Bathrooms are spacious with huge showers. Pool is always crystal clear. Its secure - locked gate with ring camera, as well as 2 locks on room. EVERY TIME has been like this. There are lots of repeat visitors for these reasons. The best value anywhere!u

Ok, breakfast isn't much, but it's free. Coffee (Thank God), Yogurt, Pastries, Bananas. It's something to get you started

I will never stay here again. It was a huge disappointment.

The location was close to everything in Wilton Manors.

The pool looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks, rendering it unusable. The property has not been kept up in years. The exterior fence is rotting, the shower grout was black, and the room smelled like mildew. Then, to make matters worse, my room leaked from the ceiling when it rained. The owner is also dishonest, claiming that I smoked in the room, when I did not. Breakfast included store bought pastries, generic yogurt, over ripe bananas, and coffee. It could have been a lot better. This whole place has so much potential. That should start with new ownership.

Great value and location!

Very friendly staff, excellent value, clean, close to all the bars restaurants and night life. Property facilitated late checkout for me as I had a late flight when leaving, at no extra cost.

A little more variety at breakfast would be great.

Fun place to stay in the heart of Wilton Manors.

Incredibly convenient to the clubs, nightlife and restaurants. The property is not new, but clean and very comfortable. Owner is very knowledgeable and welcoming.

Similar to nearly every property I’ve stayed at, the tile and marble in the bathrooms and showers is beautiful, but non slip mats in these showers is essential, no matter what your age.

Great value, great location and great people!

Wes and Jenny were amazingly warm and welcoming during my stay. I had a redeye into Fort Lauderdale, and Jenny was there to greet me at 7AM when I arrived. The room was large and private and the stay enjoyable. Absolutely fantastic location and friendly people. Great place to stay!

It was close to wilton drive or what wver the name of the road is with all the bars

Only time i saw a staff member was at chek in they were very nice but they listed check in between 1 and 6 i did not have a confirmed time i was going to be there and apparently they where not on premises. The place seemd ru. Down the pool was dirty the chars arojnd the pool covered didn't feel clean i get I was staying on off days Monday and Tuesday but it seemd like no one was there to keep up the place. The room was ok found some dead bugs in the corner and it looked like there was a mold issue in the bathroom. The floors look like its one step from just concrete and ither need tile or carpet added. Just semed like it could use a little work almost feltike it was going to open ina few mothes and tbey still needed to finish getting ready.

I liked the set up and it’s fairly close to everything in WM.

Check-in was rude, but apologized the next day. No hot water the entire stay, but you can open the bathroom door to the outside and the heat helped with cold shower. Water was never freezing. Only one channel on the tv. not that I stayed in the whole time, but when I was there it sucked. Property could be great if it was updated.

We just stayed at Calypso Inn for the first time, and we literally had the most wonderful experience!!! First of all, as soon as we got off the plane in Fort Lauderdale, I received a text from Wesley (the owner) telling us that we could check in early, and that he was ready for our arrival. The room was lovely, spacious and super clean. The heated pool was GLORIOUS, and the breakfast had delicious coffee and everything we needed to start our day! Wesley and all the staff at Calypso were incredibly available and true gems… They also let us hang out by the pool and use the hotel amenities on our check out day as long as we needed until our flight time. We will definitely be back and I would highly recommend this place to anyone!!! 10/10

Location is perfection! 5 minute walk to Wilton Drive and all the fun stuff there. Cozy amenities, lots of charm, and Wes the owner is a total sweetheart. He truly wants to provide the best experience possible, we can't wait to book again and hopefully enjoy the breakfast we've heard so much about ;)

The mattress in our room was not comfortable, and the soaps provided barely lathered up. The multiple keys for the outer gate, and then the room, were a little antiquated and hard to use at night.
