Adirondack Spruce Lodge

Rooms were clean and comfortable, stylish. Loved the breakfast.

No room to place items at the sink in bathroom but we worked around it.

We stayed for just one night, but left with wonderful memories. The motel is in immaculate condition. It feels like a breath of fresh air in the American hospitality industry. The comfort and attention to detail reminded us of hotels in the mountain resorts of Austria, Italy, and Switzerland: European-quality finishes and fixtures, with a simple yet harmonious interior. The split-system air conditioner deserves special mention: it runs quietly in every mode. That is unusual for American hotels, where the bulky units beneath the windows often sound like an airliner at takeoff thrust. Breakfast was a particular highlight. Since the pandemic, paper plates, plastic utensils, frozen foods, and products with seemingly endless shelf lives have become common in many American hotels. Here, we found proper tableware, good coffee, and, most importantly, natural farm products: butter, milk, yogurt with live cultures, jams, and honey. The eggs seemed so fresh that they could have come straight from the henhouse. For us, this was a truly delightful surprise. We sincerely wish the family who runs this motel—and whom we unfortunately did not have a chance to meet—every success and continued prosperity. Thank you for your care for your guests and your commitment to quality!

Beautifully renovated in hand made natural cedar wood materials on the walls and furniture. Bathroom shower was gorgeous, with stones under the shower head leaving an impression of a waterfall!

Breakfast was a little limited

The location is good since it's close to where we want to go. The bed was great, the pillows were also not too bad. The size is good enough for 3 adults and 1 kid. Bathroom is also spacious and clean.

When we checked in at 2pm, the rug was still wet. Housekeeping want to fix it but we were about to get our kid to nap so we didn't want to do it. They never brought it up after that. They never checked up on us to see if we need to change/ dry the rug after 4-5pm. We also let it go since my husband and I had to go somewhere. Then at around 10pm (while my husband and I were out) I received a message telling us to "keep it down" - but at that point, it was only my kid and my mom so.... I am not sure how much noise could they have made and I felt that message was very rude. Breakfast mainly bagel/ muffins/ bread and protein is only boiled eggs.
