Woodland Vacations Little Owl Chalet is a charming small home with a stunning view of Whiteface Mountain located in Wilmington, NY. This new construction vacation rental is minutes from Whiteface Mountain and Lake Placid. We provide a cozy rental near all the wonders of the Adirondacks. Little Owl sits in a quiet area that is walking distance to some of our popular local spots. Close to skiing, hiking trails, mountain bike trails and fishing. Walking distance to local chocolate treats, to the beach where you can swim and kayak or just walk across the street to the local pub to get food and drinks. Ironman race passes right by our rental property and is also minutes from the Poormans Mountain Bike trail.
Little Owl Chalet is a two bedroom and one bath home. The master bedroom has a queen bed with a balcony that has a stunning view of whiteface mountain and the sunset. You will be greeted by our two wooden owls on the railing with Adirondack chairs to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Our second bedroom has a full Adirondack bed with wooden view. The house has plenty of outlets for all your plug in needs. Little Owl accommodates 2-4 people comfortably. The first floor has an open concept and allows the space to feel much larger. The kitchen is stocked with the basics and includes fridge, oven/range, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker to make a quick meal to enjoy there or on the go. The large windows in the livingroom provides wonderful light and awesome views. The bathroom has good space and rustic charm to it with the wine barrel sink. Our home is equiped with wireless internet. Little owl is non-smoking and pet friendly. Each room has a flat screen tv's for your viewing pleasure. Each room includes air conditioning and is well heated for the winter. The chalet is fully furnished by our own Woodcutter Rustic and Woodland Designs. You will find our tiny home has all the Adirondack charm throughout.
The Little Owl grounds is an open but wooded area. It has a great space for parking. Off the deck you will find a charcoal grill for that summer BBQ. Next to the house is a five person hot tub. In the middle of the property sits a large fire pit with Adirondack seating. You will not be disappointed in this relaxing atmosphere with stunning views.

Check in was easy. Perfect for accommodating my granddaughter and me for a couple of days of Adirondack sightseeing. Comfortable beds.

We loved our stay. Very cute place,great location. Host were easy to contact and very helpful with any questions. Place was also clean.

We were very excited for our stay since we try to go up to the ADKs yearly & this year we could bring our pups along with us. The house was fine, as long as you weren’t stuck inside. We were also hoping for privacy which there was not. There’s a house literally right next to you and we could hear them all weekend, and it’s very close to the road.
Pros:

-close to town (Wilmington) & only 30 mins from lake placid
- allows dogs
-hot tub
- good communication
Cons:
- very close to other people & road(not advertised)
- hot tub was dirty inside
- the door knobs weren’t dog friendly, my dog was able to open the door to the outside very easily just by hitting the knob
- firepit is in the front when there’s more privacy in the back
- very tiny, it was cramped with just the 2 of us and our pups
- expensive for what it’s worth
- on a very busy / fast road
