Sugar Loaf Lodge

The property is quite, close to the center and other activities, coffee is really good and Thor is an amazing host. Parking is right next to the room

We stayed at Sugar Loaf Lodge for two nights during our road trip, and overall, it was a really pleasant experience! The lodge has a charming, classic American roadside motel feel, perfect for anyone looking to enjoy an authentic USA road trip experience. The location is excellent, with plenty of places easily accessible both on foot and by car. We had only a few interactions with the staff, but everyone we spoke to was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and professional. The Loaf cat that comes to greet you in the morning is also a unique and delightful touch that makes the stay even more special. Parking was spacious and convenient, and although we didn’t use the pool or the other outdoor facilities, they looked lovely and well maintained. Overall, a lovely, simple, and enjoyable stay in Sedona. We’d happily recommend Sugar Loaf Lodge to anyone looking for a relaxed and authentic American road trip experience!

Our room was comfortable and generally very clean. One small suggestion would be to pay a little more attention to certain details, such as a few old stains we noticed on the bedsheets. They were clearly signs of wear rather than a cleanliness issue, but little things like this can sometimes affect the overall impression of a room.

Excellent location, easy access to many trails

The staff were great, and the location was excellent.

The room was quite old, dark, and had an unpleasant smell. The smell of the cleaning solution was also very strong and not particularly refreshing. Combined with the smell of the older room materials, it made the room less comfortable than I had hoped.
