Beach Walk on the Ocean

It was in a great location, on the boardwalk ocean front. It was in the heart of the activity but secluded enough that you were very comfortable. Awesome place to stay. They also allowed early check in.

The check in process. We had to go to another building next store, three flights of stairs up (this would be difficult for people with disabilities, or the elderly), and there wasn't anyone at the desk to help us.

The bed was really bad you can tell it is old and worn. Plus the water in the shower was terrible although I think that is more of just being right on the ocean but it was really harsh.

The location was amazing-right on the boardwalk! We liked being able to sit on the porch in the mornings and evenings relaxing. The house is an old, and you can tell when you walk in, but it is nicely decorated and clean, there was a nice dining room with a table, and a little living room. There was a little microwave in the dining room, a little fridge with water, yogurt, and muffins, and a coffee machine.

When I booked, I thought it was a little more like a bed and breakfast and would have access to a kitchen, which we did not. We went and bought coffee cups so we could have hot tea- they did supply little paper cups for coffee/tea. The shower was extremely small (we were in the Victorian Room)- so small you could only turn around and were always in the water, couldn't move the shower head away from you. Our queen bed was two twin beds pushed together, and we couldn't lay in the middle without sinking in-between or feeling the crack.

Location is lovely, right on the beach (though no direct sea views from either Hunt or Tapestry room), close to everything but still far enough away so as to be relatively quiet. Fridges in the rooms came as a positive surprise

The whole place could do with some updates. Worn out and mismatched furniture, loose outlets in the room, discolored light fixtures... The breakfast foods provided consisted of a few joghurts in the fridge in the dining room. Coffee maker was either empty (refilled only when we went next door to ask) or non-functional. No kitchenware beyond some plastic spoons so even if you do want to make use of the fridge and microwave you would have to bring your own silverware and plates. Outside doors were never locked (we were never told the access code anyway), which felt a bit unsafe. Since the two rooms we had (Hunt and Tapestry) face the side of the building and the hotel next door, blackout curtains would have been useful.
