Good for what we needed it for.

We just needed a place to spend the night before going to Yosemite and it was the cheapest in town. Everything was ok clean, we had heaters in each room. Shared bathroom and kitchen. This is by no means a fancy hotel but was good for what we needed it for. Good area right on hwy 120 in town. We were the only ones in the red house so we did not share anything, but if people rented the dorm inside then we would have shared bathroom and kitchen with all of them. Staff was very friendly. Even let us use the back room with a table to eat out food. And offered us free hot tea.

Booking.com says private bathrooms but they are shared, no dinning area, no closets. We stayed in the red house.

This place was a very comfortable, clean, cozy place to stay in an ideal location.

The young man at the front counter was very friendly and thorough with informing us of the facilities and procedures. The beds were comfy and the shower was great.

The kitchen was rather sparse on equipment, no sheet pans for roasting or baking, There were no basic (i.e. salt, pepper, sugar) condiments or 'free shelf' for enhancing our meals'

Good value for money

The hostel staff was very welcoming. They also showed us how to get around and use the hostel facilities. The hostel is also located very close to restaurants. Highly recommend the Mountain Sage Coffee just next door.

The only two downsides of this hostel is 1) the bed mattress was very hard and uncomfortable for us, and 2) due to the location being in the main road, one could hear the sound of traffic very clearly.

Clean, Comfortable, and Well-Maintained Hostel

We stayed in a private room and were pleasantly surprised by how clean and well-kept everything was. The room smelled fresh, the bedding was clean, and the shared kitchen was spacious and fully equipped, with a clean refrigerator and plenty of room to cook and store food. Bathrooms were consistently clean, and even the outdoor restrooms and showers were well maintained. For a hostel, the overall cleanliness and upkeep were impressive.

The only drawback is the location, it’s a bit farther from the Yosemite National Park entrance than expected, so plan for extra drive time. Otherwise, it’s a great place to stay.

Staff don't show us anything. We discovered the existence of another bathroom on the last day (the bathroom inside the structure where we have the beds is shared by 15 people). We pay to have towels that seem to be made of paper. The bathroom was not clean. The room smells of mold.

It is expensive, does seem a long way from Yosemitie - in fairness the expense is due to location

We stayed in the shared house. The shared facilities were great - especially the kitchen area. Bathroom was fine too

The room is very old, no aircon - it looks that old the electricity cables are subsequent addition. There was like wood nailed over the room door window for privacy.. a new door and replastering a paint job would enhance the expereince

Great Value for money and an hour to Yosemite Valley

Location, an hour away from Yosemite Valley. Quick check in and check out. Cheapest place to stay thats near yosemite.

They should pave the road to the house that has the private rooms. A bit outdated. only 1 shower to serve 6 private rooms. Wifi a bit spotty

Everything was perfect but only one thing, the bed.

The bed in the private room was extremely hard, we don’t usually leave these types of comments on such details but it was impossible for us to sleep all night so we had to sleep on the floor.

Great balance between quality and price.

I Liked how quick the check in was. I arrived 9 pm and I got all the instructions easy and quick. The place is quiet and clean. People friendly and caring about rules.

Having in mind it is a Hostel, I would say it is perfect for what I paid and expected. Very comfortable, clean, quiet and close to downtown and Yosemite. I have nothing to complain about.

The reception was CLOSED. They charged me WIRHOUT check me in. I stayed the night in my car. I also received another email about $15 extra charge for check in late. So basically they charged me additional $15 without even check me in.

Friendly staff, hostel atmosphere. The property is cool and our room was nice enough.

In case someone doesn’t realise - it’s still an hour drive to Yosemite visitors centre, but there isn’t really anywhere else to stay closer by unless you book inside the park!
