Lovely place with great management. Super clean and good location!

Such a great retro style property with amazing owners! Super comfy and private like an air bnb. Loved the door locks with codes so no need to carry room keys. The pool was very nice and having a refrigerator was a nice add on. Parking was easy and there is a bus stop out front but also only a mile walk to downtown.

The only complaint I have is the sun was so bright so I couldn’t sleep in. Wish they had better curtains or black out options so I could have relaxed longer.

Good value, lots of space in the room, very comfy, and the host is as very friendly and helpful. It was also super quiet - not sure anyone else was staying while I was.

The a/c wasn’t the coldest, but honestly it wasn’t much of an issue - it was fine when I needed it at night.

The amount of room in the unit. And the cleanliness of the property.

It is outdated, everything is past its time. Specially the ceiling tiles. The wall AC unit, way too noisy, and its right by the bed.

Do not stay here I left an item and Mona has refused to return it. Mona I think is the owner/manager. She is a thief!!!! Will not return my calls and text!!! She should be in jail.

We do feel tricked - is more like hostel or air B&B

It was clean BUT

Real room size is 1/3 of published room size. Nobody at the hotel when arriving. Seams to be standard since it’s all virtually and managed from remote. Hard to reach, we’ve called twice the nr. mentioned at booking and ended on a tape. Stressful was also the mentioned check in times at the front desk which were 2:30pm-3:00pm … especially in combination with our difficulties to reach somebody by phone which made us start looking for an alternative hotel. WiFi seams available but is rather unstable. Even host lost wifi connection with doorbell which was how we finally did get in touch with Mona. TV looses audio approximately every 5 minutes and the air-condition is realy old and loud.

Wonderful, safe, roomy and helpful!! Way better than across the street!

It was a full kitchen with dishes and they provided a coffee pot and coffee! Clean and roomy! Kinda close to road but has a secure wrought iron fence all around. Only a short bus ride or a longer walk to get into main downtown. It has a kind of 50’s Palm Springs vibe…

No hot tub is my only complaint. Pool was a little cold but still felt good on a hot desert day.

I would not stay there again.

The location was great for visiting Downtown Palm Springs. It was located near lots of bars and restaurants.

The bed was uncomfortable and the bed sheets had stains in them. The shower was extremely small and the restroom had dead bugs.

As I said, it’s dated, but it’s clean and affordable. Hopefully if I stay there again, I won’t have to pay via Venmo.

It’s dated, but it’s quite clean. It’s also nice to have a kitchen with a working four burner stove.

When I arrived, I was told that I needed to pay my hotel fee via Venmo, even though I had a credit card registered on Booking.com. I could pay it, but that meant I didn’t have any spending cash for the trip. I had to maneuver a couple of things so I wouldn’t get any overdraft fees from my bank. Also, make sure that you aim the showerhead away from the door, as it has a tendency to leak into the bathroom. That was the experience in my room.

We had a lovely welcome and the host was very helpful with recommending things to do. The room was very clean and we had lots of space. Parking was easy out front and it was close to some really nice hikes.

The bed was not comfortable and the room needs updating. Kitchen was not usable, stove had a compact electric burner on top of it. TV didn't work well and bathroom was poorly designed. It wasn't horrible but below my standards.

Affordable accommodations in a great location

After having my reservations at a resort cancelled the week of my trip, I had to scramble for different accommodations. It's getting pretty hard these days to find affordable accommodations anywhere near downtown Palm Springs. I was pleased to find the Aloha Hotel. The owner and her son are exceptionally nice and very helpful. The facility was immaculate and the room, which had a mini kitchen, was very spacious. The pool area is lovely. The whole facility was safe and quiet at night, even though I was in walking distance to downtown. The whole facility is vintage 1970s motor inn and it reminded me, quite pleasantly, of places I stayed when I was a child.

If you're looking for fancy, this is not the place for you. But it's super clean and everything worked perfectly. That's way more important to me. And I saved a ton of $$, which I gladly spent on shopping and dining out.
