Desert Lodge

The property was dirty and smelly when checking in. I was going to give them a chance. We made our way to the room and there was garbage laying in the hallway. We opened our room and the smell was atrocious. It was a musty moldy smell. It must off been an adjoining room, but they had that door duct taped around the edges. I wouldn’t even set my suitcase on the ground. We turned around and walked out. There were some shady people hanging around and we couldn’t get out of there fast enough. My note to SEL is always stay in a reputable chain hotel. Never again!

Dirty sheets, pubes in shower, white stuff all over the sheets asked for new sheets they said it’s clean they washed them Tuesday when we got there Thursday

The property had some repairs which were not cleaned up; air con did not work properly; facility was shambolic. Only good thing was clean sheets.

Place its really dirty and in bad condition, fridge does not work, AC is full of dust, both of my beds were badly stain of something brown, ice machine does not work with posible meldew. a non smoking room smells like cigarettes everywhere, in my whole weekend i didnt get the room clean a single time, no clean towel and toilet got clog. To make this worse place charge me extra to day I check in just for getting double twin bed instead of a king bed.

Smell was horrible. Room was supposedly non-smoking but the smell of cigarettes was pungent. AC did not work properly. Spent the weekend in 100 degree heat with a barely usable AC unit. Bathroom sink was coming off. Smell lingers on everything. I’ve been home for a couple of days and I can still smell the horrid smell. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Bathroom was not clean everything else was okay

It was a bit dingey and a bit rough , and not very clean , but it was okay

The staff is very nice and attentive. The room was dirty. Has cockroaches and stains on the sheets. The bast of the toilet was dirty and the shower spray was bad, more water was going out the tub spout then was the shower head.

Room has mold and urine stained beds. Area is filled with drug addicts. Manager refused to do anything in the way of refund for 2nd night after we left. Don’t stay here.

Nice owners and a safe place to stay in a wonderful location near everything!

The room was filthy. Blood stains on the sides of both of the beds. Yellow and brown smears and stains on the walls near the vanity area and bathroom. Walls looked like they’d never been cleaned. Tub looked like it had never been cleaned. Comforter on bed was dusty and stained. Pillows seemed clean, but they were extremely cheap and uncomfortable. Tv worked but it was very small and old. Room was quiet. Parking was easy. The outside of the property looked nice, but the inside was rundown and not well maintained. I would not stay here again.

The best sleep I had for months! Not only are they curious but also give you your space and not all up in your business. And at the same time willing to accommodate any and all of those little things you want....

Please look at the guest pictures! The pictures the hotel provided are just catfishing. The hotel is so run down. The inside of our room door had tape on the lock. I had to put the chair in front of it to feel somewhat safe. The beds had questionable stains. The feet on the beds were bending. Thank goodness I took blankets for my baby. The fridge had mold. Please be aware when booking

It was the best time I've had at a motel in Palm springs

The room was in dire need of an upgrade. The bathroom needed replacing. The top of the toilet tank was broken and a sharp edge was above the flush handle. The bedspreads were filthy. At least the sheets were clean. No smoke alarm or fire extinguisher’s in the ceiling.

Do not recommend. Moldy smell in the room. Everything seemed and felt dirty. Needs a major upgrade.

We did not en up staying we went to another hotel

Florida Project welfare motel- complete with broken blinds, filthy bathroom with complementary blood on the bathtub & walls, smelled like a smokers lounge shag carpet and should be avoided at all costs

This property was my worth experience in staying at hotel. All furnitures were broken, we reserved room for three people and there were not even enough soap for one person. I complained to hotel manager and he said, they are going to renovate the place soon, but don’t understand why hotel terrible condition was not mentioned as part of listing.

Poorly maintained. Things didn't work. Needed repairs and a good paint job. Bed was uncomfortable, pillows long passed usable.

Worst place I've ever stayed!

This was the worst hotel I have ever been to. It looked abandoned there was trash everywhere and people working on cars in the lot. Not many people there to begin with and upon entering the room it smelled horrible and looked like insect secretions on the floor of the bathroom and the mattresses on the beds had blood on them.There were many other issues too many to include but we did take plenty of pictures to validate our claims. We promptly reported this to Expedia on that day as we had to seek other more costly last minute accommodations and were told that we would soon hear back. It was not until we returned that I recontacted Expedia for a follow up and the person helping told us that we were going to have to pay for one night on two rooms totaling over $300. We would not want an animal to stay there and were very disappointed in the fact that Expedia would even have this hotel on it's site.I made this fact known to the rep helping and at first he was pleasant and when we said that we would not even pay $1 his attitude changed. I feel the pictures Expedia has of this hotel are misleading . The pictures were from many years ago and if we had known would not have booked there. This was a very sad circumstance in that we went to Palm Springs to celebrate my daughter;s 21st birthday and to have the special day ruined was unforgiveable. I am also reporting this hotel to the local Health Department and will be seeking legal advice to go forward.

Great service... management great people very understanding and caring

Not even homeless people deserve to stay in this type of environment. It smelled so much on the room that it made my throat hurt. The fix to the lock of the main door was tape. This is the type of hotel you should pay under 100 or even 70 a night. I paid 200 for a place that was a lot more dirty than sleeping outside. Very scary. Very dirty, the restroom door had a hole! This place is a complete scam. Please stay away.

Friendly staff. Decent pricing. Rooms were adequate. Would stay there again
