The hotel was in a nice area and very accessible to freeways. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable! I was very satisfied with everything! The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back to this hotel in the future!

It would have been nice for the breakfast to go until 10:00am, especially on the weekend.

Stylish, welcoming, comfortable, convenient stay in Fountain Valley

The lobby, hallway, bedroom, bathroom are very stylish and roomy. Bed is comfortable. AC works well. Pool and sauna are clean. Plenty of parking. Staff, expecially the manager, is very friendly. Breakfast assistant Bich Chu is very helpful, Cam Nhung not so. Location, just off the main freeway 405, and on main street Brookhurst, is very convenient. Plenty of excellent restaurants around.

Breakfast could offer more variety, more fruits and change more often. Occasionally can hear at 2:00am walking on floor above.

Mostly a nice hotel but there is one deal breaker.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Shower was good. Toilet flushed well. Room was reasonably quiet, some road noise but not intrusive. Bed was ok. Breakfast was good.

Elevator buttons needed to be pressed multiple times to get the elevator to work. Toilet handle was hard to press. On Saturday, instead of waffles there were pancakes, which were rubbery and not tasty. There was a ridiculous system to control the lights. The room key was to be put in a slot on the wall to turn on the lights. When the key was removed all the lights went out in about 30 seconds. If you have to get up during the night to use the bathroom, you have to grope for the key and then turn on all the lights - blinding you and waking you up completely, and disturbing anyone else in the room. The lights work if you just put a piece of paper in the slot. This asinine design is enough to keep me from staying at this hotel again.

Comfortable and Quaint stay for a visit to the OC Fair

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. We got our room early and the early check in fee was waived. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was lovely, we ate at the outdoor seating area and everyone was attentive to our needs.

The waffle makers were busy for breakfast, perhaps having one or two more would alleviate the backup.

Unit with 2 Queen Beds

Everything was perfect and beautiful. The lobby was really nice. Like the patio in the back. Like the separation of the 2 beds with a wall in the room. A nice way not to disturb the person you're with and that the TV was in the middle between the 2 beds, so that both can watch the TV. Like that, it had a shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower/tub. Breakfast was pretty good, too. Had some good choices. Only stayed for 1 night. Definitely will be staying here next time I visit SoCal again. Stayed Sunday, the 20th.

One of the elevators was out of order. Can't think of anything else.

Weekend stay

The room was clean, great size bathtub, room included a fridge and microwave and the breakfast had great options. The staff was very friendly.

The only negative about our stay was that the hot tub was not warm at all and the pool was cold as well despite being told it was heated.

The front desk staff were all very wonderful.

The mattress on the pull-out bed was HORRIBLE! It was just springs and a thin material over them. Absolutly the worst I have ever felt. We jad to pad it with several blankets that the front desk provided. ALSO the breakfast had disgusting CHICKEN TENDERS for Saturday morning!! I imagine this is a high volume day and THAT IS WHAT YOU SERVED??? The breakfast only gies until 9:30 and it should be later on the weekends. We didn't even wake up until 9:15 and had to rush downstairs to find little food left.

We rested our heads here for an evening before flying out from LAX. It was spacious, comfortable, clean and had a touch of luxury. Black out blinds, great heating/cooling. A brilliant breakfast buffet, a mini fridge and a spacious bathroom. What stood out the most were the exceptionally friendly and attentive staff at the desk. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend as great value!

Ayres is our Trusted Hotel in SoCal

Ayres staff and location always great reliable place to stay. The week we went the pool had to be maintenance so was not available, luckily its close to the beach!. The pull out bed was too stained for my teen son to want to sleep on so he was disappointed in that but luckily the king bed is roomy enough for 2! Corners of rooms could use some vacuuming. Other than that everything else 10/10 would stay again!

The doors are so heavy that they slam. You can hear nearby guests’ doors slam and it gets really annoying when you are trying to fall asleep. It is also annoying when you are trying to exit wit your luggages and the door is so heavy it won’t stay open.

On arrival we were informed that the bar and restaurant was closed and would not be open for 3 days. Totally unacceptable and should have been informed in advance.If we had known we would have chosen a different hotel. Very disappointed.
