The breakfast, pool area and hotel location were all great and the lobby area was great for family games
We had a pool side room and sometime the room key didn't work on pool side door.

Great location, right in the most scenic area of downtown Duluth, walking distance to all sorts of things. We didn't have time for all the amenities, but the ones we did, were fun, definitely a great place to stay.

The breakfast area that was once so we'll tended to, clean and fresh was a mess. Not well cared for, sloppy and chaotic. That is a big part of accepting the high cost of this hotel is they once provided a delicious meal. We couldn't eat. Most things unreplenished, spilled food everywhere and no one seemed to care. We stayed at this hotel with our family annually for many, many years. We came back after taking a few years off and were heartbroken at the state of this hotel and the staffing. We will look elsewhere next time.
Lack of pride in facility. Messy and lack of friendliness that once was so wonderful.
