The shower head is an energy saving type so the water pressure leaves much to be desired. And, We had to drape a towel over the shower door to keep it sliding open during the shower.

The room appeared to be newly renovated and was comfortable. The bed was very nice!

Wow! To start, walked in the lobby to check-in and discovered the entire lobby was in the middle of a renovation. I was met by a construction worker who directed me to the counter and pointed to the bell under the plastic covering to tap to ring for the clerk. She asked if I was told about the renovation when I booked the room, "No!" While I was standing there going through the check-in, a construction worker about 5 feet to my right was scrapping wallpaper off the wall in a VERY loud motion! I had to cover my ear to help ease the pain in my ear and to hear the clerk with my other ear. Our room was on the second floor and was informed that the elevator was not available after 9 p.m., had to use the back door and stairs. When the lobby closed at 9, we could only use the back door where the construction workers entered, and the area was messy with trash (beer can, cigarette pack rapper, an empty plastic Chick Filet shake cup, cigarette buts, etc.) and storage of construction materials on several pallets. The dog potty area was in the very back next to a travel trailer, when my puppers and I were using it there was a dog inside the trailer that barked at us the entire time we were using the area. After waking in the morning construction banging began at approximately 8:10 p.m. No breakfast bar here, we had to travel to the La Quinta Inn across the street in the morning in the rain and share breakfast with their guests. After eating at the breakfast bar at the La Quinta I reenter the Comfort Suites through the back door and proceeded to the bathrooms there by that entrance, encountered construction workers and bathrooms without toilet paper, so I had to sprint up the stairs to my room. Back in the lobby to check out in the morning I shared this experience with the clerk, the phone rang she keep looking at the phone as I was talking, when the phone ringing stopped, she said she missed that call and repeated this when I walked away.

My son's Dad was on hospice care at the near by hospital.

Our new favorite place

Room was nicely dark to sleep in, couch was great, sink and coffee area outside bathroom was a great touch. Freezer in the fridge was very useful. Room was very clean, breakfast was fantastic, especially due to staff attitude.

Non-cotton sheets are way too hot to sleep in. Insufficient outlets near the bed nightstand, and they were non-functional. Bathroom vent fan was underpowered.

I think Comfort Inn is a nice property with good amenities and perhaps we just got a bad room.

Needed surgery at Peacehealth Hospital in Springfield so booked a King Suite at Comfort Inn for the night before. Now I realize prices and room taxes have gone up but for $185 per night total, I expected a pretty nice room. What I got was what could have been a very nice room, but instead was a dated room with damaged furniture, stained carpeting and ants. I loved the location, so close to the medical center (1/2 mile), the housekeepers appeared to do a good job with cleaning the room, but with several small stains on the old carpeting and a chair with peeling material, upon entering the first impression wasn't the best. Now the bed was wonderful, very clean and mattress soft and comfy. The room was quiet, and the air conditioning worked great. The breakfast was very nice, great selection of food and maintained well and cleaned. We traveled with our dog and the pet area was a very large well marked grassy area with a dog clean up station. At night it was very well lit which is so important when my little one has to go out at 2 am and I need to see to clean it up. There was plenty of good parking for vehicles in the parking lot and it was also well lit for safety.

Simple minor changes could have made this room so much better. First, either get the stains out of the carpet or put in new carpeting. For me, its just icky to walk with bare feet on carpet that looks dirty so I had to keep my socks on when in the room. The office chair material was completely disintegrating, replace the dang thing, it looks terrible! They are not that expensive. The on/off button on the lamp at the office desk took repeated pushes to get it to light, same thing with turning it off. The bottom of the back of the bathroom door was peeled up, paint it! We didn't leave any food out but in the morning, there were ants all over the room near the water sources. We had a room with a jacuzzi (that we didn't use) and noticed ants crawling all over that area, and the kitchen counter had ants on it and the walls. We killed at least a dozen, probably more and kept seeing them until we checked out.

I loved the staff! They were so kind and very helpful. I wish I could give a shout out to certain staff for their amazing work. The location was in the middle of so many restaurants, the breakfast had so many delicious choices. I appreciate the coffee and hot chocolate packets being available after breakfast hours because my daughter and I needed a nice hot drink after a long day.

I wish the pool area was more up to date with style. Shower would be nice to have it updated. Jacuzzi was not working half of our trip…. That was the main reason we booked so we can enjoy morning and night an indoor pool and spa…
