Staff were so friendly, property was adorable and had great shared outdoor spaces, and the breakfast was delicious! Just nice touches to make the stay extra personable and relaxing.
The walls are a bit thin so you could hear your neighbors.

Breakfast was excellent! The Hotel had some unique perks and amenities. Staff very positive and welcoming.
We were next to a group of very loud girls having a great time. There were 3 or 4 people in the room with a fold out bed. It is on a busy road.

Very good pool and everything was very clean.
This is the cautionary tale of you can not go back. We stayed at Olea two years ago and it was delightful and charming. It turns out that the property has changed hands and it hasn't been for the better. On our former visit we experienced wonderful breakfasts every morning with healthy and inventive food. Now there are cartons of yogurt and granola with fresh fruit. On the weekends, a local bakery provides a more substantial breakfast. Good, but not the wonderful breakfasts that we had anticipated.
We booked thru Booking and was supposed to get a King room with balcony. Instead we got a King room with a patio under the kitchen and dining area with lots of noise (moving furniture). When we asked about the room that we thought we were getting, the receptionist told us that all the other rooms were taken and we should have made our reservation thru the hotel.

It was so quiet. Very clean. Wonderful breakfast, mimosa & wine/snacks.
Price is steep for a tiny hotel room.

It seemed like they hired people for their welcoming smiles! All staff interactions were top notch. The welcome sweets and wine were wonderful. The breakfast the best I’ve had in any hotel or B&B. The grounds were really lovely.
The one thing that was bothersome was the noise from the unit upstairs. When we stay again we will ask for top floor unit. The noise was understandable the first few nights because the hotel was completely booked. when we stayed on and the hotel was almost empty, it was disappointing that the room directly above us was booked when there were obviously other choices.

I will preface this negative review with a note that we were reimbursed for one of the two nights' stay.
1. We suffered through 2 nights of heat in the room of over 80 degrees. We could not turn it off even though we tried. We complained after the first night and we were offered to move rooms - but we did not want to take the time to do so and miss out on our dinner plans. We turned off the heat - or so we thought. The second night was no better. Our room had no windows that opened, so that was not an option. We were on the street, so could not leave the door open. This was unbearable.
2 - There was no happy hour the second day, as the person at the desk had to leave early. No great loss though.
3. Breakfast was not a full meal.....the "buffet" had minimal pastries, no fruit, yogurt, not much else. We were given a tray to take our food to our room...there did not appear to be anywhere to sit.
4. The hot tub and pool were not available..
5. We were still charged the full "resort fee." We were not sure why??? We did have access to the fire pit.
6. Our room was under the "office, reception, and breakfast area. You could hear heavy footsteps above.
7. The relatively new renovation/decoration was not at all user friendly. Not enough lighting and not enough place in the bathroom for toiletries.

It was quaint, clean, off the beaten path, and no children! The staff were all very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Weekend breakfast was perfect for filling up before a long day of exploring.
It’s not very sound proof. If you are noise adverse, I recommend staying on the second floor, so you don’t have to listen to walkers above you.

Our cottage sweet was very nice, clean, and spacious. Looks fairly new and the heated bathroom floor was pleasing. I want a heated floor in my house now.
Walls are thin and noise can be heard especially the busy roadway and neighboring houses. This small hotel in located within a neighborhood with residential homes surrounding. I’m not sure if it was on the hotel property or next door but at 8am we were awoken to construction sounds of hammering for about 5 minutes. Driveway onto the street is a bit sketchy also.

The pool, the hot tub, the outside setting, and the fire pit area, they have a very nice relaxing setup.
The entrance. Trying to leave the parking area was challenging because you can not see the on coming cars.

This is an incredible property, selected for our honeymoon in Napa Valley and surroundings. This hotel is one of the reasons of the fantastic experience we have lived. Breakfast (gourmand two course meal, changing every day), service, warmth, room (spacious and what a design!), everything - literally everything - gave us a smile, several times per day.

Pool and hot tub 24/7 access was wonderful.
Comfortable bed.
Soft,clean linens.
Bathrobes were so incredible I purchased one to take home.
The staff were so helpful.
The breakfast was delicious-took special care to note my dietary needs and we had fresh Californian ingredients.
The wine and light snacks in the afternoon made it even more special, with local wines which was a huge bonus.
Restaurant at the top of the road was DELICIOUS!
Ample parking, beautiful grounds!
Being in a downstairs room we could occasionally hear upstairs- minor issue for us

The exterior and overall layout/design was so unexceptional we NEVER checked in. There are endless ramps leading to a check- in off the kitchen ( smell from kitchen overpowering ), exterior elevator ( which we needed ) - just an exposed metal platform with sides, and catwalks. The desk person was exceptionally kind and understanding and helped facilitate a refund with both Booking.com and the owner. We were happy to lose the first night deposit just to leave quickly. We did not see the room as we knew we would not stay and we were reluctant to use the “elevator” ( my husband uses a cane). Booking should take a closer look at thus property.

Breakfast and pool was lovely.
My room had a terrible ant infestation and there were spiders crawling out of the plumbing.

Breakfast was amazing! The Hotel and staff were outstanding. The location is a bit remote but you can walk to Glenellen, though the road is not ideal for walkers. Overall a great Hotel. Free snacks, wine and coffee each day was wonderful.
We were in a first floor room and the foot noise overhead was quite loud. The noise stopped at a reasonable time, so just for awareness. Also just for awareness, since the hotel is small there is no early check in. They are nice about allowing you to use the grounds to wait or set up a tasting at a nearby winery to pass the time.
